I have to apologize for the delay in writin this lil blurb up for this wonderful establishment. First off let me say that this lil unassuming spot might make you a bit apprehensive at first because it's attached to a Peachwave. But the upon walking inside you will quickly recognize an imported wood fired oven making high quality Neapolitan style pizzas. These aren't the type of pizza has the most people er most consumers I should say are used to , their closer in style to traditional Pizza that you would find in Italy. The interesting thing here is that they offer some very out of the box and unique I should say toppings and combinations. The owner is very knowledgeable and the staff are very nice they're very quick to help you figure out exactly what you trying to get and the offerings are extensive an the menu is different. Me and my companion we chose the elote pizza which is a popular Mexican street corn snack food they transformed into a magnificent pie do unique things on this pie or the fiery Cheetos something you don't see too often a non tomato sauce base Chipotle crema, absolutely fantastic the corn burst fresh sweetness that kind of complemented the whole thing tremendously and the overall experience was just wonderful I'm definitely come back and try a couple of the other types of Pies they have to offer when I suggest that you do too if you don't believe it just check out this picture that...
Read moreI grew up in New Haven and lived on Wooster Street for 7 years. And I gotta say, this place is pretty legit. The Wooster Street pie is actually the signature pie for Sally's Apizza and what I used to order all the time. I've gotten a few different pizzas from USP and I have been happy each time. They actually do cook the pizza hot enough to get leopard spots which is the way to do it. Not sure if they have a wood fired oven, I don't think it is but maybe I'm wrong. Stanziatos has always been my favorite pizza in this area, they do a more traditional Neopolitan pizza but it's excellent. Otherwise Urban Street Pizza is right up there with Stanz for me. I miss New Haven style Neo-Neopolitan Apizza and when I head there I always try to pick up some Modern Apizza on my way home. In the meantime, Urban Street Pizza is the closest thing I can get in this area that reminds me of what I grew up with. I still love Stanziatos, but Urban Street is now in my regular rotation for pizza night....
Read moreThe BEST PIZZA has FINALLY ARRIVED IN BROOKFIELD!! If you like thin crust NY/New Haven pizza (think Pepe's, Sally's, DiFara) then DON'T RUN, DON'T WALK, DON'T DRIVE, BUT FLY HERE! They are doing it right @ 900 degrees with all the right ingredients to give you a true thin crust 90 second bonanza of goodness with the leopard skin to prove it!! They opened last week and I ordered a pepperoni pie a couple nights ago to try it out and the 2 for $22 special tonight on Tuesday and it was amazing! My wife and I prefer just a plain cheese because you can taste the richness of the cheese and the awesome sauce mixing perfectly. They offer all the regular toppings as well and offer other items which we'll be sure to try in the future. I am not related nor a paid spokesperson, I am just so happy that pizza done right doesn't mean a trip to the city or New Haven but right in our backyard! It is also another option to answer the age old question of...
