This dinner started well and then an accident occurred. While placing bread down at the same time as my wine, the server dropped the glass of wine which shattered in pieces and multiple shavings down my leg. The wine saturated through my right shoe and shorts. I spent 15 minutes in the men’s room to dry my foot and take out the stains in my shorts. I asked the server to change tables as the shavings were still on our table. She didn’t think tio ask us or clean the table properly. I sat with a drenched shoe and shorts for the entire meal, the server brought the check with NO offered discount. I was angry and told her my shorts and sneakers were ruined and meal was uncomfortable . I wonder how anyone would feel sitting soaked in wine for an hour. When I told her this, she said she had to speak to management. Poor service not being proactive . The manager came with a blanket and monotone “I’m sorry . We took 20 off the bill for drinks, is that okay? I shouldn’t have to ask. The discount should come from their heart and concern.. Maybe offer a sincere apology. Accidents happen but service and attitude should have been present. I know the difference between a robotic apology and a sincere one. I was sad and disappointed… I couldn’t finish my meal as...
Read moreWe stopped in here for a quick dinner. Lots of parking available in the front, back or side. Located in the plaza with Dunkin’ Donuts. There is inside seating, as well as outside patio seating. There was a nice bar area where you could also eat. Not that many tables inside but we did not have to wait. The restaurant is very clean and has great decor. They have a fireplace inside that was not lit because it wasn’t cold outside. The staff was very friendly and greeted us upon our arrival and thanked us for coming when we left. They weren’t very attentive at the table unfortunately. Nobody came to refill our water, which I thought was strange.
The food was good. Basic pizza shop dishes, nothing over the top or crazy like all the new trendy restaurants. The chicken Parm pizza was very good. The Penne àlla Vodka and Meatball Grinder were also good. I really enjoyed the way they cut the grinder. They cut it on top to allow the thick part of the bread to be on the bottom. Overall: Ehhh it was OK ...very average from the dough to the sauce to the cheese... even the meatball was kinda uninspiring (Case in point I brought leftovers back, someone tried a slice and asked "whats that on there, sausage, ...or meatloaf??)
Its not bad but, had a solid bake to it and looked good from the jump. Just kinda fell flat. What I wldnt give for a touch of wild sicilian oregano to give it some pop
They had these zucchini fritas which had nice flavor to the breading, just they didn't hold very well which can happen sometimes even if ya freeze em the night before.
I'll be back to give em another go one...
