Cleveland Clinic Brooklyn Express Care Clinic — Attraction in Brooklyn

I had a great experience at Cleveland clinic express care. I was hesitant because of the reviews but, since it is very close to my house I decided to give it a try. I walked in and was almost immediately taken to the back for care. There was no wait and the blonde lady at the front desk was very nice, I didn't get her name. The doctor that took care of me was Dr Willis. She was nice and very thorough. Unfortunately my history wasn't in the charts for my primary doctor to show I had a history of migraines but Dr Willis did give me the Migraine medicine that I desperately needed. I was on my second day of a migraine attack, I didn't have any medicine because I haven't had one in 5 years. I tried my primary doctor first but she couldn't fit me in. I dont know if Dr Willis will get in trouble because I was told that is not something they ordinarily do for patients. I hope not because she literally saved me from going to the ER. I am eternally grateful 🙏 to Dr Willis for saving me the time and trouble of going to the ER. I will definitely be back if I need to go to an urgent care again for some other ailment. Do not waste your time if you want a proper diagnosis. The first time I went here I said that I might’ve had a seriously bad sinus infection. I got tested for strep and it came back negative. They swore that I might’ve had COVID if not then the flu. I did get my test results back in 12 hours and all of the tests were negative. I went back 2 days later with worsening symptoms including discharge in my eye, again I suggested that I might have some bacterial infection that’s worsening. They gave me antibiotic eye drops for PINK EYE. There’s no possible way I could’ve had pink eye but I do what they say and play the waiting game. About a week later I’m still in pain and the right side of my face down to my throat has swelled up. I drove to the express care in Middleburg and within 30 minutes they properly diagnosed me with…. a sinus infection. Now I have proper antibiotics and meds for congestion. While some of the staff were nice, the tests were efficient, it’s not the best care because not everything is COVID. If you think you might have COVID, the flu, or strep this is the place for fast treatment but for anything else…...

I am sad to see the bad reviews here because I have been here on at least 3 occasions, the last two of those I was treated by Tabatha who is wonderful. I am very uncomfortable having to go in for an emergency situation, I always try to get into my regular doctor but I couldn't get an appointment there until late September. I was really upset about what was happening with my eyes, constantly watering and then when I tried flushing them with saline, I woke up with them glued shut with white sticky goo. My eyes were so red, itchy, and irritated I thought it was something really bad. She said it looked and sounded like allergic conjunctivitis, prescribed an antibiotic drop, but only cautioned if I don't get improvement in a couple of days I need to see an eye doctor because I may need a steroid drop and they can't prescribe that. It put my mind a little more at ease. I got the drops and did get some relief with the first application. Fingers crossed, the drops and cold compresses take care of the issue.
