I was there on a busy Sunday recently, I waited about 35 minutes in line to pay for my groceries all the lines were backed up to the end of the aisles so everyone was waiting quite awhile to get out. When I left and went outside to the parking lot somebody had their dog locked in the car with all the windows up, now it was 73° out, that means temps can reach up to 104° in the car with the windows up. The dog was in distress and frantically barking. I immediately went back into the store and saw the manager and asked him to help. I figured he could have someone announce the customers plate over the intercom so I didn’t have to call the police and the animal didn’t have to be in any further distress waiting for the Cleveland police to arrive Etc. Well he waved his hand up, interrupted me with me away and told me it wasn’t his problem and just walked away. I guess we’re lucky it wasn’t a baby! Not that I personally see the difference. It would’ve only taken him less than 30 seconds to have someone inform that customer (who made a bad decision) and save them the angst of having to deal with the Cleveland police when they got out to their car but because of his inability to take accountability for the matters going on under his management that animal continued to be in distress - it’s life in danger, the other customer is now going to probably get a ticket and the Cleveland police had to come address it all which could’ve been prevented had he actually cared about the customers in his store. I have to say the two girls that rung me up and bagged my groceries were way better at dealing with customers than their boss and they’re highschool kids with far less experience. I will...

I had a good experience here but with the caveat that this is not my normal grocery store. If that was the case, I'd have to give a 1-star review. Now, it is 2016, almost 2017 and a chain this large, with stores all over the place, cannot accept debit cards? It doesn't make sense. I get that they are probably going to say it is part of their closeout mentality but here is where it gets janky... They take Discover. So, there is a credit card network in place. They just choose only to take Discover. You cannot use a debit card. You cannot use any other credit card. But... wait for it... Have a paper check lying around? Of course, you can take forever and write out paper checks which they then take forever to process. They also accept cash. The store itself is unique. It is a mix between a discount grocery store (that is full-service with produce, meat counter, dairy, and standard grocery items) and a Big Lots. They have about a quarter of the store devoted to close out items. You might find holiday decor, tools, picture frames, gloves, clothing, candles. It really is a grab-bag. But therein lies the problem. With a full service grocery store and a discount store inside, who is going to carry hundreds of dollars in cash around to shop here? It is absurd. And, how many people really use Discover? Writing checks? Hello...

In so much disbelief on the male Manager working tonight. His demeanor towards his female associates was unnecessary tonight. I don't care HOW stressful your job is. It does not give you the right to Humiliate nor Embarrassed your staff in front of ANY customer. That should only be done in private. Just because you " had to do your job" and come up front. And you made in know to ALL the associates and customers standing by you that heard you.. This young lady I would assume she is an assistant of some kind. She was going back and forth from register to register to help as many as she could. But you felt the need to tell her "to do her job" Guess what she was, and always is.ANY time I am in there. Then you want to get upset with a customer (me) who called you out on it.You are so lucky you have an employee who will stand there and take that.. You could have lost a...

Great closeouts section - a true northeast Ohio gem. I'm glad they accept credit cards now. Don't expect to get through the checkout process quickly, though - they're not set up to be efficient, and they often seem to have too few cashiers. I usually end up going to customer service to pay because I only have a few things and don't want to wait 5 minutes. God help you if you end up in line behind an old lady writing a check - they should ban checks except for one of the checkout lines. Their cashiers also like to put ever 3-4 items in their own bag, and double or triple-bag it. Some locations have self-checkouts now, which help.

This is my 2nd review of this great store. I don't know why they keep disappearing some hours. Anyway, this store stays well stock clean, and they have pretty good produce and different selections of chicken and different meats. They also have household items and plenty of snacks to choose from and bake goos as well
