I had a really disappointing experience at SoGlo Guitar Gallery today. I came in to return a 4-string Squire Fender bass guitar that was in the 14-day return policy window, hoping to explain that my issue wasn’t with the instrument itself but with the amplifier that wasn't working properly.
Unfortunately, the store manager/owner, Greg Perry & Andrea "Mumbles" Santana didn’t even give me a chance to fully explain the situation but yet shut me down right away and told me to "take my business someplace else" in a sharp tone of voice, while in a dismissive wave of a hand gesture that was completely disrespectful and inhumane.
They treated me as if my concerns didn’t matter. I wasn’t asking for anything unreasonable other than a simple refund. Their attitude was cold and impatient, leaving a bad taste in my mouth. The store was quiet at the time, yet I felt like I was being rushed out the door. I could feel my body heat up with embarrassment as they spoke over me, making it clear they had no interest in hearing what I had to say.
I wasn’t expecting a no-questions-asked return, but I did expect a bit of courtesy and a chance to speak. Being dismissed like that made the entire experience frustrating and unprofessional. I walked out feeling ignored and unwelcome. This was definitely not the kind of customer service I expected, especially from a reputable guitar place in Brunswick, GA, called SoGlo, which has been known for many years. After the ordeal, I was eventually refunded via debit card, but I plan not to return to this location anytime soon.

Read moreI stopped by to see what they had on my way through. And while I was there just shooting the breeze, I asked a bunch of random Audio Interface and Amp Modeler questions. Which to get? Why? What are the gotchas? Helix , Neural DSP, Kemper.. So many options
Because both of the owners(?) were so friendly and helpful they actually pointed me at a device they didn't have. And told me to avoid spending thousands on something I wouldn't ultimately need.
Thank you so much for helping me find an easy and quality way to play and record my electric guitar. And thank you again for all the encouragement and fun chatting!
Anyone who will redirect you to somewhere else to get you what you actually need has integrity. And, both the gentleman and the lady here were super nice to meet. I'll definitely be coming back when I need to sell or buy...
Read moreJust got my granddaughter her very first electric guitar and these guys were absolutely AMAZING, very encouraging for a young musician, and had a good selection for her to choose from even if she didn't really think so, she had expensive tastes looking at the pro guitar 🤣. But yes grandma definitely knows where she will be going for anything else she may need as she grows with her guitar to maybe one day even going for one of the pro guitars for her to rock out on.
Thanks again you...
