Southern Hanger — Local services in Brunswick

Did a suit rental with this place. The whole thing was incredibly frustrating from top to bottom. After ordering the suit several months ago, we were told it would be ready for pickup the Monday before the wedding. That Monday comes, I call the store to see if it's there and it's not, they said they'll call me when it gets in. Didn't hear anything on Tuesday, on Wednesday I decided to just drive down there and see if it was there. Suit had been delivered that morning and nobody called me. I try on the suit and the pants are about an inch too short, they looked like Capri pants. They get it re-hemmed on Thursday, I go to pick it up and there's no tie. I didn't notice on Wednesday, but you'd think they would do a check to make sure it's all there when the suit is delivered, but I guess not. When I mentioned that there wasn't a time the guy said "huh. I guess I'll have to get that fixed for you." Friday, another person called me to tell me my tie is there, I'm guessing trying to do damage control on this screw up. One of my groomsmen didn't get his shoes, so I asked if I could pick them up for him, they said they had the shoes and that I could get them that afternoon. I get there, they have the tie, but no shoes. The day before the wedding and the shoes haven't shown up. They got delivered to the store at 10 AM the day of the wedding. Never got an apology or explanation.

In total, I made four trips to the store in one week for one suit.

Bottom line: Don't get a suit here, this was the most stressful part of my wedding and I wish I'd never set foot...

A friend tipped me off to Southern Hanger, and I went by to check them out for a new polo to wear out to a dinner with work friends. However, I walked out with 2 polos, 2 button downs, and 2 pairs of shorts! Southern Hanger has such a large selection that you have to guard your wallet when you go in! All of the southern prep brands you expect from a higher end clothing store are there, in particular I love that they stock the Mountain Khaki brand, and they also have a large selection of accessories and gifts. The best part of the Southern Hanger experience was the friendly staff that was helpful without being intrusive, and the shop dog! Get downtown and check out Southern Hanger! If I could give zero stars I would. They had a sign 50% off sign over 2 racks of Patagonia shirts. I was so excited. When I went to pay, the bait and switched me and said the sign above the tops weren't included. Even the owner wouldn't honor their own sign. AND they were so rude about it. Why would anyone shop here. Nobody should. If you have a sign, you should honor your own sign. Bad...
