Probably the worst customer service i have ever experienced. I took my front loading washer in to get a new door seal replaced (water was leaking from a small tear in the rubber seal and needed to be replaced) ( I had ordered the part and thought maybe I could install myself and once I realized that it would be a much bigger job, I decided to take the whole machine and pay them to install the door seal). So after they replaced the seal and charge a ton, I took it back home, hooked it up, started a load of laundry and the washer leaked worse then than it did when I first took it in to Buddy's, So I took it back the next day and told them what was going on and they told me that when they replace the one particular part (the rubber door gasket) on those machines that they always replace another part to prevent it from leaking. But they never mentioned this to me when I initially took the machine in. Really? So they were happy to fix it again, but this time it cost more to repair than the initial time because they had to remove everything they did the last time plus more to get to the part that they said they always replace with the other. Then when I asked them why they are charging me for all of this labor again and that I felt that I shouldn't be charged the second time, basically they told me labor is labor. I will never do business with these folks again and I have already personally cost them a good amount of business by telling relatives, friends and associates to avoid them. So they may of got me for an extra $150 bucks or so, I feel a little better knowing I have cost them many times that from clients who have/are in the process of building...
Read moreGet detailed warranty information before you purchase any appliance- 10Year limited Warranty seal on the front of a machine is pretty much false advertisement- or maybe only true with GE machines- It is extremely limited to only the motor. Bought a GE Washer machine with a 10 year limited warranty from Buddy's only 5 years ago, just barely 5 years ago. The past couple of months randomly I would find grease spots on cloths, and/or scratched screen printing, and/ or small tears. I have been meaning to call Buddy's to look at it but I was too busy until finally the drum just gave out, so I had to call Buddy's. The kind lady said she will look into the warranty and call me with that info, in the mean time a repair tech will contact me the next morning and let me know when he can look at it. The trip and diagnostic fee will be $120. He did call first thing the next morning, and was there between 9 and 10am. Note: She had not called me with the warranty information yet. The Tech finished diagnosing the machine quickly, he was wonderful, very knowledgeable, and kind. He shared, the drum fell apart. I would need a new drum, 600-700 dollars. I paid $129 for the trip and diagnostic fee. After he left, around 10am, He was fast. I called and spoke to the same lady that answered the phone the day before and she still did not have warranty information for me but she will call me after she speaks with the tech. 4pm came around and I called and was transferred to the same lady who now does have warranty information me, only the motor is covered under warranty. Read moreWhat can I say? Buddy's Appliance has always treated me like a person, like I matter. And they don't automatically assume I'm looking at the most expensive items. They ask what I'm looking for and they actually listen.
They present multiple options, and will present multiple brands. They always seem to answer honestly, even to the point of telling you which brands and models they see repairs on.
When I was getting appliances for my kitchen, I spoke with someone, and after gathering information, looking at selections I picked out online, she asked if I was married to the brand and appliances. I let her know we were just "in like" and not "in love." She laughed and asked if she could look around and find something comparable in another brand. She came back with better rated products for about $1,100 less. Seriously - who looks out for customers like that?
It's nice to be treated like a person and not like a wallet full of money.
Oh ... And the guys that did the delivery and installation were AMAZING! They were friendly, and took the old appliances. They also gave me a crash course with the new appliances. Just absolutely incredible people! No concerns or complaints with them - just drop and sincere...
