Penn's Purchase is a separate group of outlet stores located right across the street from the Peddler's Village section of stores. It was very nice when it first opened, full of discount stores and eateries, making it a nice addition to the regular priced stores that are over in Peddlers Village, but, most of the outlet stores here have closed now, leaving just empty storefronts, trash, graffiti and generally dilapidated surroundings.
The only stores left here are an Italian restaurant and a Coach outlet . Both of these places seem to thrive, and do very well, despite the skeletal remains of the other stores past, but, overall, the atmosphere is depressing and run down.
Visit the Coach outlet, or have a nice meal al fresco at the Italian restaurant, but, don't go to Penn's Purchase expecting a fun day of outlet shopping, or you will be very disappointed to find out it's a just a shell of its former self -...
