I’ve been here a few times before, the massages were decent. This time, however, the massage was fine, but the woman had extremely sharp fingernails and scratched up my neck pretty badly. I tried saying something but I don’t think she understood me. When I was leaving I nicely told the girl at the front desk to let the woman know that she needs to smooth out her nails, I showed her the scratches on my neck. I paid… full price, and expected at least an apology. Instead of apologizing, the girl at the front desk got very rude and defensive, she started arguing with me. She stated that the woman had cut her nails just that morning. I again stated that they were very sharp, and cut me. She went to get the woman that gave the massage, I explained to her again that her nails were very sharp and she probably needed to use a nail file to smooth them out. The woman that gave me the massage was apologetic once she understood what I had been trying to explain. Through the process, I was trying to be diplomatic, but the Front desk girl was still so argumentative. She literally told me that it was my fault for asking for deep tissue. I let her know that I’ve been a Massage Therapist for 32 years and it is possible to do deep tissue without scratching your clients. I gave up and proceeded to leave, the front desk girl followed me outside, still rambling on about how it was my fault for asking for deep tissue. At this point, I was so frustrated that I told her I wanted a discount. I went back in and requested a refund. I still tipped the woman who gave me a massage, because she genuinely felt bad. I absolutely will not be returning.

My daughter and I have been enjoying the wonderful massage experience at 5 Star Burbank for years. The standards and quality have withstood the years of the pandemic. Kevin who mans the desk and books the masseuses is all pro . The place is clean and the business run on schedule with appointments. We recommend the 70 minute combo which is flat massage and soak , then full table massage. It’s heavenly and very reasonably priced. Often when we are traveling in Los Angeles we can get a same day massage. Kevin will make it happen !

After a long plane trip out just you need to be touched, this place was well worth the price. Inside was quiet and clean.

I was very disappointed with my first experience here. Went for a couples massage. My girlfriend loved her person but mine wasn't very good. There's a definite language barrier here for sure. They asked if I wanted "soft, medium or hard pressure" and I told them hard. They then asked if there was anything else I'd like to let them know and I told them that I have ticklish feet and to use "hard, firm, slow pressure" not soft and quick like some people do. Both of the masseuses had no idea what I was saying and asked me to repeat myself multiple times. They finally got someone who could understand English and even then, I don't think he knew what I was talking about. This then resulted in me paying for a 90min rub down that felt very rushed and not a massage. Every time she would come across a knot or sore spot that would get a good reaction out of me, she would just skip right over it and keep going. At one point, I considered just asking her to stop because I felt like it was a waste of time. She also focused on spots that really made no sense (My butt, ears, sides of my shoulders, between my eyebrows and top of my head. Really?) I'll give this place another try, but I don't have high hopes. But like I said, my girlfriend absolutely loved her masseuse, so maybe I just got the person that's really bad at her job and didn't want to be there. 2 stars only because my girlfriend had a...

Not bad. First time to one of these massage places. My upper back was killing me so I decided to stop in. With no appointment, I waited not even 5 min. I asked for a full body massage and was taken into a private room. I must admit, I was a little leary walking in as the first room you step into had about 20 beds with several people being worked on. Plus it was dark so it was hard to get a feel of the layout. Once in my private room, it was actually nice. A friend of mine recommended I ask for Cindy but she was not there. However, the lady that worked on me (sorry, I did not get her name) was great. She gave a solid good massage and at some point she took out hot stones that were awesome! She also got on my back and used what I believe were her elbows to knead my upper back. Overall, great massage. Felt great afterwards and for the price of $40 bucks for an hour (actually felt much longer), well worth it. The only thing is I was not sure how much to tip her so I gave her $10. She seemed happy with it so I am assuming it was enough. So, if you are looking for a good massage without spending too much. This place...
