My friend and I had court 4 reserved for 10am. We patiently waited for the people before us to finish even though they were going overtime. We decided to just walk around the back, behind the court, to check the shed for the ball machine which we also paid for and were told to check by the front desk.
Despite doing everything by the book, and additionally giving courtesy to the late lesson by not interrupting and giving them extra minutes (that were taking place during OUR paid time), Enzo starts yelling at my friend that he should announce himself, and starts getting passive aggressive and outright sarcastic attacks , not realizing that the time for his lesson is up and that it is my and my friends turn.
My friend was not going to let that disrespect fly , and he reciprocated in kind by pinning down the coach verbally to make sure he knew that he was out of line and that his antics (which have probably worked in the past by using his position as a coach, whatever fake temporary power that makes him feel) were going to backfire and be used by us to expose him in front of his students , which is exactly what my friend did.
One student came up to my friend after the lesson, and still was repeating the line of âwe should have let them know that time was up,â clearly missing the point that my friend and I were ALLOWING the lesson to continue, just while checking on our ball machine, and that was interpreted by the coach in a mean way, and the student parroted the same line like a sheep.
Weâre taking action against Enzo and will ensure that players in the future donât face the consequences and repercussions for the faults of this coach, and especially those who are perhaps too socially anxious to defend themselves in such hostile situations, who thus unfortunately may become victims to Enzoâs bully tactics; we will be returning to play weekly and monitoring him so that he canât creepily scare nor manipulate anyone poor souls...
Read moreBurbank Tennis Center has the best of both worlds. Itâs inexpensive and accessible and down to earth as a public facility should be; and itâs very clean and has its own gourmet food cafe and beautiful courts that youâd expect from a private club. This is due to the owner Steve Starleaf whoâs one of the nicest people Iâve met, an excellent coach and a club owner dedicated to keeping his facilities top notch. Also he has 2 well maintained green clay courts and finally Coach Mike runs an addictive live ball session several times a week which my wife and I...
Read moreWhile Iâm relatively new to the sport and donât have much to base it off, these are really well kept courts. I come here to utilize the ball machine and from what I know itâs pretty affordable. Itâs around $33/hr, and I showed up early and had to wait for a court but Lisa at the front desk helped me grab a ball machine and told me where to go. She ended up coming out a few minutes later and let me know I could hop on another court instead of having to wait.
Great experience, Iâll definitely keep...
