Check-in took like 2 seconds, I showed up for a couple nights stay at 11 pm. The room is actually super cute and retro, the bathroom is modern and upgraded. They balance each other out.
I'm taking off a star for 2 reasons:
The room was clean except for the floor. Someone mopped a little but it was plainly visible that it wasn't thorough. The cleaning woman works alone for every room though and she's super sweet so I get it.
THE WOMAN IN THE OFFICE lol. A girl in the room next to me checked out at 11am. Her friends parked her car in Hollywood, so they went to get it while she sat outside with everyone's stuff for an hour or so. During this time the girl's phone died and she asked the woman at the front desk if she could charge it. This lady wouldn't let her go back into the room (the door was open and it was being cleaned) and then legit said "there aren't any outlets in the front office, so no".
....after trying to mask my snickering (because GIRL WHAT?? So what's the computer plugged into, the sun??) I offered the chick my phone brick. Now the lady in the office has been givign me this vice principal type look all day hehe. So the GUY in the office is chill, but that older lady is...goin through a hard...
Read moreI loved my room. It was 202. Clean, efficient, great for an overnight stay SO CLOSE to the Burbank airport. Good shower. Good bed. Good price.
The refrigerator held my items effectively. The room needs a lamp. Overhead lighting ain’t my jam because I like a “shush your mouth” library vibe but it wasn’t a deal breaker.
I booked too many days (through Expedia) and cancelling a day wasn’t a problem. Called ahead, they were like… “You got it.”
If you’re looking for a hotel experience, you probably already know where you’re at and shouldn’t complain. It was a $99 room in California. Be realistic.
It smelled weird a little at first but I feel like that’s the scent of Burbank, if not all LA County. Like, if Yankee Candle made one, it would be accurate. But, I digress. Bring incense or a candle. And a lamp.
There’s a liquor store down the street that also sells persimmons. One of those options helps you get drunk.
Would definitely stay here again. But just room 202 as of yet....
Read moreThis place is convenient and nice, used to be my favorite, could be a little cleaner. The pillows on the bed are HORRIBLE. The problem is, the room service. I asked the front desk lady for towels and she's going back and forth with me about there being 2 sets of towels in the room already. My man and I used those towels. If I'm paying for a room, it should come with towels, end of discussion. No one is reusing hotel towels. After I told her "I paid for a room and can't get towels?" She then got me some towels. Came to my room with 1 towel to dry off with and I had to argue with her again about needing 2 FULL sets of towels, including a towel to wash up with and a towel to dry off with. Get your towels upon check in to avoid the attitude and excuses from the front desk lady. This used to be my go to place but I may have to find one with better service when I'm paying...
