Location was about a 10 minute walk from luggage pickup at the terminal. Walkway was covered and had a few of the moving sidewalks to help make it a bit easier. Location of the car rental place is 2nd floor (I believe that was it) of a parking garage. I went straight to the car aisle hoping to catch an employee there to help direct me since I reserved a full size SUV and was not sure of the location of those. There were plenty of cars on the Emerald Aisle including what appeared to be a few standard or mid-size SUV's which I could have chosen had I had a normal reservation. Upon not finding where the full size SUV's were located, I went inside to the counter where they first mentioned that if I was an Emerald Club member that I could just go choose a vehicle. I explained that I reserved a full size SUV and needed help finding those. The lady called another employee on the radio. I was met by a nice gentleman who showed me some vehicles that fit my reservation. I was able to choose a nice SUV that met my needs. Check out was easy at the exit gate. The person there answered my question about some optional insurance that was supposed to be included on my reservation. In summary - a good experience and ended up with a very nice vehicle. I took one star off the rating because we (family) initially spent some time walking in the lot looking for assistance for our specific vehicle class and had to walk all the way back to the counter for help. Family got a little irritable pulling luggage around but it worked...

I own a courier company and have a corporate account with Enterprise Car Rental and have been renting with them for over 2 years, National car rentals is owned by Enterprise and I get free rentals from National for the amount rentals I do with Enterprise. I decided to do a 1 day free rental with National, which I have done countless other times before, never had an issue, but today for some reason the attendant was extra by the book corporate. My total was $8.34 for tax and he wanted to charge me a $400 deposit, when in the past they have either not charged me a deposit at all or just $250. I just had my Business ATM with me and my business Credit Card that only had $400 available credit. Charles or Chad (can't remember his name) refused to help me, maybe it's time I take my business...
Read moreI've rented from national literally hundreds of times over the last many years. They have always had unlimited mileage with my rentals. Recently I rented a full size SUV for a one-way move and as typical they gave me a rental price, I fill out the forms and get a confirmation. I looked at their one-way policies which state that they do not charge mileage except they "may" for vehicles like cargo vans, luxury vehicles and "large SUVs". No where during the process did I specifically agree to a mileage charge. However, the confirmation email came and one line on the email states that this rental has 0 included miles and excess will be charged at .40 per mile. I did not notice that nor did I specifically agree to it, nor was it pointed out to me at any other time in the rental process until I received the invoice (1200+ miles later). I get it, I should be more wary. But really, this is an exceptional policy for National, they did not explain that I my full size vehicle was a "large SUV" for purposes of this mileage policy, and I believe it should have been pointed out so I could make informed choices. I called and wrote my concerns to National, but have had...
