Old location, just down the street, was spacious, actually had inventory in the store to buy (or view prior to purchase, such as checking out a laptop, or some office furniture to buy), helpful staff, good management. Since moving to this much smaller location, a while back, it is as if buying here is deliberately discouraged.
Store is messy, shelves often empty, almost no practical inventory, not even basic ink stocked, no help from anyone, no knowledgeable staff, and in general it is just massively frustrating to even bother going in to this horrible location. You can be in there for over an hour and have no one even ask if you need help.
I even complained to Staples Corporate, only to be told they are moving more toward online sales, and they are aware of the complaints about down sized store locations that are now somewhat useless. Amazingly, they didn't seem to care at all to address the concerns. Very unfortunate that they have such a monopoly on office goods, with an attitude like that. I mostly get emergent needs at Fred Meyer now, or even Walgreens, both of which have better supplies than this sad Staples location.
I still shop at Staples online, but for any needs that go beyond online shopping, that I can't find elsewhere, I now go to the location near to Ballard, which, thank goodness, is like the old Burien Staples used to be -- larger store, lots of inventory, and very helpful staff. It's a much farther drive, but worth it.
What a shame that the Burien location of Staples is such a waste, when there was such a good store literally down and across the street, for so many years. I guess a company gets big enough that the customer just doesn't matter, but I sure don't understand shutting down a great store in favor of a horrible one. Pointless.
I'm glad to take my business elsewhere whenever I can, just to avoid the absolute frustration of this awful...
Read moreLacking in customer service. Employees avoided me up until the time they turned the lights off(less than 2 min after closing time) then last thing on anyone's mind was helping me find what I was looking for(same as helping me spend $$) its was yup sorry I'll escort u out... I just wanted to say if I could have gotten some help when I walked in... but I guess its nbd cause we all know office supply stores are just killing it in the brick and mortar sector, they can afford to shoo off someone trying to spend $100.00 +. This is the very reason why I became a mystery shopper for large retailers. With over 9yrs if management in this area I know for a fact any district /regional manager would lose there mind over how this store wraps up their day. I'm willing to bet this store and or region hasn't seen positive in sales or even projected sales in a long time. But hey it's the economies,Trump's,China trade war, ect.... fault right. Couldn't possibly be the people that we choose to be the face of our company @ our brick and mortar locations.. lol I bet online sales are much better @ least than this sad underachieving location. Boy am I glad I dont have any of my investments in these guys its pretty clear to see what the future or lack there of has in store for them. Hey hold on as long as possible there are already to many mattress stores in this are @ least hold off for October so Spirit Holloween can get in there for a bit. That's it rant over, I'm just always amazed when I see this all u hear is these major companys complaining how online retail is hurting their location. Humm. I wonder who's to blame for that??? In retail The answer is always...
Read moreI recently used a Staples passport photo service, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly, professional, and efficient. They clearly knew the specific requirements for passport photos, including the correct dimensions, lighting, and background color, which immediately put me at ease.
The entire process took less than 15 minutes. The photographer made sure I was positioned properly and gave helpful instructions to ensure the photo would be compliant with government standards. They even showed me a few shots before printing, so I could choose the one I felt best represented me. The lighting was flattering, and the final print quality was excellent—sharp, clear, and printed on high-quality photo paper.
What I appreciated most was their attention to detail. They double-checked everything, from the photo size to facial expression. It’s rare to find such efficient and reliable service for something as simple as a passport photo.
Whether you’re applying for a new passport, visa, or any other official document, I highly recommend this service. It’s fast, affordable, and most importantly, done right...
