On a Friday night having only 1 regular register and 1 14 items or less register open and both of them with long lines and one person at each one holding up the line by not having enough money to buy their food...instead of doing SOMETHING/ANYTHING to help get all of the waiting customers (who have been standing in line for over 10 minutes and have tried switching between the 2 registers only to find the same issue holding up the other line)....the manager not only does absolutely nothing to help all of the waiting customers (most of which only have a few items in their hands), but she seems to find it amusing that people are clearly upset. She also allows the customer at the quick checkout to attempt to run the same food stamp card 5 times even though it has CLEARLY said 5x that there is not enough funds! She allows the customer at the only other register to slowly go back through her CART FULL of grocery bags one bag at a time and allows this customer to just stand there debating each individual item in her cart! This is a common theme in the Burlington area, where management knows absolutely nothing about TRUE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Hannaford needs to be much more selective of the employees they hire as they are the faces of their company! Im pretty sure Hannaford lost at least 20 customers last night due to the serious, complete lack of customer service, ESPECIALLY coming from...
Read moreI've been shopping at Hannaford for years now and I have Hannaford Rewards and I usually go to self checkout no problem. I was having a rough day and decided to stop in and purchase a couple of my usual items including Reeds Ginger beer 4 pack for a pick me up. I got home and went to put it in the fridge and realized one was completely empty and I was bummed but decided to bring it back within the hour for an exchange because they are about $5 for a 4 pack and that's a little pricey for me to ignore it. I didn't have my reciept because i usually throw it away in the store, but i had recent purchase history and I was willing to dig through the trash if I had to. I got to the service desk and an older women came over to help me and I explained the situation, and she was acting very rude and clearly thought I drank one and was trying to return it, but I just wanted to exchange the 4 pack for a new one. I told her I would look for my reciept in the trash if I had to I understand I threw it away. But she said she didn't know if she was "aloud" to make an exchange and had to bring someone else over. I don't know if she was new but it was no excuse for acting rude and accusatory why would I try to return one empty bottle out of 4? I am very upset and now I will not be shopping at Hannaford I will pay more elsewhere where they care about...
Read moreI am in a Wheelchair because of my Disabilities and I just moved into my New Apartment on December 08th and I really needed to get some food. After I went into Hannaford's I spoke to a lady at the Service Department and I notified her that I had to put my food in my Shopping bags and I didn't want them to think that I was Shoplifting! She said of course I could, after trying to maneuvering around 100's of last minute shoppers for 2 hours I finally got everything that I wanted and then when I got to the Self Checkout Register, I asked for some help ringing up my groceries and then the lady told me that she was opening up another Register and I was going to be the 01st person through the register! They rang up my Groceries and they put them in my Hannaford's Store Bags and they did a fantastic job on helping me out with everything and I really enjoyed my shopping visit at that Hannaford's Store located on North Avenue in Burlington Vermont. I was truly amazed and impressed by what they were doing over and beyond just to help me out with my Grocery Shopping. I was definitely very happy & grateful for their support and I would definitely recommend this Hannaford's Store to everyone who needs help just the way I needed it. I went there on December 23rd, 2023 and they did make it a very nice Christmas for me in my...
