I literally drove over 400 miles to return back to the King Of Hair, Alan Elrod! No one compares, and I’m forever jealous that Calabash is now graced with his talent. He has never made a single mistake with my hair, nor my mothers, nor my grandmothers! Three generations of perfection. If you are in the North Myrtle area, make an appointment with Alan. You will leave feeling *almost* as fabulous as your hair looks! 11/10 stars!

Veronica at The Salon in Calabash NC does a fabulous job on my thick and full of head of hair. She does an amazing job cutting and coloring. She takes the time needed and I don't feel rushed. Every time I leave Veronica's chair, I feel revived! Coming from Northern VA and leaving behind a hair stylist that I had for years, I consider myself very lucky to have found Veronica in my new NC home.

Veronica at The Salon in Calabash NC does a fabulous job on my thick and full of head of hair. She does an amazing job cutting and coloring. She takes the time needed and I don't feel rushed. Every time I leave Veronica's chair, I feel revived! Coming from Northern VA and leaving behind a hair stylist that I had for years, I consider myself very lucky to have found Veronica in my new NC home.

After tirelessly checking reviews online I finally decided to call and schedule an appointment with Alan. I've had my share of bad experiences with past haircuts and really did my research to find someone I would be confident with. I called today and a woman answered the phone. I asked to schedule with Alan and she told me he wasn't accepting new clients. She offered her own services instead. She stated she moved here from Charlotte and that he's been referring new clients to her to help her build a clientele.This just left a bad taste in my mouth. When I explained that I had really checked him out and he was who I would like my appt with she flat out told me it couldn't be done. I do hope that he truly isn't accepting new clients and that he doesn't have someone working with him who is poaching potential new clients! Extremely...

Veronica (AKA hair goddess) gave me the best haircut EVER, along with giving me a beautiful rich and shiny color. I have been to salons all over New York and it took going to the Salon in Calabash to finally have the hair I’ve always wanted. Veronica took time to listen to my wants and needs and then spent a long time making sure my hair was exactly what I wanted. Veronica is friendly and professional. The salon is quaint, clean and beautiful. It was an amazing experience. What a gem of a salon! You will be so happy with the results and extremely reasonable prices. Don’t miss out! I cannot say enough good things about Veronica at The Salon. After moving to NC, and COVID safety restrictions, it has been 1 year since getting my hair professionally cut and colored. I was so nervous about going to a new stylist but Veronica made me feel welcomed. She was so great at sharing her knowledge and good options for me. I am so happy with my cut and color. Veronica is calm and easy to talk to. I did not feel rushed. It didn’t feel like a first time visit at all. I really like the salon itself, too. The salon is clean and inviting.
