We wanted to do a little wine tasting at a vineyard in Carmel. Unfortunately, they were all closed on a Wednesday. However, we came upon Georis tasting room. It had a great atmosphere and even though it wasn’t a vineyard, you sat out in the garden and felt like you were in one. The tasting room itself is large with leather chairs and tables. The outside has several patio tables with umbrellas tucked away in the gardens or right off the tasting room. There’s even a bocce ball court, which is fun. Alexander greeted us and told us about the wines and the vineyard itself. He was so friendly and provided great information to learn about their wine. Food is available at Georis from the restaurant across the street, which is a sister property. We ordered the charcuterie board which was substantial and had a great variety of things to enjoy. The wine tasting we chose had five different varieties for $30. My husband and I shared the tasting as the pours were generous. I would recommend this tasting room, not only for the wine, but for the wonderful outside garden to...
Read moreWell, this was a strange one. My wife and I have been Georis members for a few years now and we love the wine, the staff and the large and comfortable outside courtyard.

We decided to stop in for one more visit - and tasting - and let staff know we would be stopping our membership. Then there was Daisy, the amazing server we feel fortunate to have gotten to know over the past year. Her friendly and professional demeanor is something we look forward to each time we visit. This time was no exception. After spending a few hours with Daisy again yesterday, my wife informed me that we will not be leaving Georis anytime soon.
Thank you Daisy for your continued excellent service and Georis for continuing to produce some of our favorite reds! The...
Read moreWe live in Monterey and were excited to try Georis. It has a really nice aesthetic and outdoor space. Unfortunately, the service was quite bad. We were there at the end of the day, and had checked with the staff that there was enough time for us to do a tasting. We were then alerted 15 minutes before they closed that we needed to pack up, even though we had a lot of wine left. The server actually started taking my wine glasses and pouring them out. The wine didn’t redeem the experience either, as it was mediocre at best. We love visiting the valley as locals, but unfortunately we won’t be going back and wouldn’t recommend...
