What an outstanding experience! We have been by here many times, but never when the museum was open! This was the first time we were able to go inside, and I must say, it's so worth it! The volunteers that were running the place, were so friendly and told us a lot of great stories. My Grandfather was a Detroit Firefighter, so this place held a special place for me, and being able to bring my parents, and my Aunt here, during what was our first visit was so great! There is a second story here, that you can go up and see even more history behind the area, stories of the Italian Hall tragedy, the history of the firefighters in the area, and so many amazing relics that have been saved! We called the number listed on the Google site and was told it was disconnected. We tried their website and it said the website is apparently expired and the domain is available for purchase. Their brochure also states tours available “by appointment “. Good luck trying to make an appointment when there is no phone, no email, and an expired website. Very disappointed.
