We visited the UP for our 20th wedding anniversary. We had intentions of renewing our vows. After 2 days of talking to and asking SEVERAL different offices of the township and county being told either no or well anybody could do it, and NO ONE offering to help. We had passed the Vertin store a few times and the aray of antiques had been catching my eye, we stopped and asked if they could help us out. Well, I tell you what. They jumped at the opportunity. Let my wife pick a spot she wanted to set up and were willing to move things a bit if we needed it. I asked Dan if he could read a bit of what I had written and he said yes. The next day when we got there he had spent a good bit of time preparing his own service. LOL IT WAS GREAT!! These folks are good salt of the earth people. The selection of items they have is almost endless. They care about the people that walk through the door and want to make sure you enjoy your visit to the store. We WILL be making a return trip just to see these...

There were antique treasures from a aspects of life there- from clothing and furniture to linens and books. We will definitely be going back. The women who ran the shop were kind, knowledgeable about the pieces, and were true artists. They could refinish furniture and upholstery and the pieces they had on display were beautiful. We left planning a return trip! You won’t regret...
