As a huge fan of The HYPE, I was beyond excited to get tickets for their upcoming show. I had some trouble ordering online, so I decided to call the Calumet Theatre box office and that’s when my great experience really began.

The woman who answered was absolutely amazing! She was so friendly, patient, and genuinely excited to help. She made sure I got the exact seats I wanted, and we even connected over both being from Wisconsin, which made the call feel so personal and fun. It felt more like chatting with a fellow fan than just buying a ticket.

I’m traveling from Wisconsin just to see The HYPE for an early birthday celebration, and I have to say this experience made me an instant fan of the Calumet Theatre too. The service, the energy, and the passion they bring to everything is something really special.

As someone who’s followed The HYPE for a while, I can honestly say this kind of care from a venue means a lot. I’m even more excited for the show now, and I’m already looking forward to coming back for future events.

Thank you again to the amazing staff and especially the sweet box office attendant who helped make this such a positive and memorable experience. Can’t wait to see The HYPE light...

We seen Rodney Crowell on July 20th Concert was great, albeit an unplugged (no band) type concert Rodney was spot on and sounded great as always. His lead guitarist Jedd Hughes was a treat and was amazing in his own right. He is an amazing guitarist and sings excellent as well. Ready for the big time himself. I will however say the venue Calumet Theater was a bit disappointing. While it's an historic place it's not been updated to the level to attract or keep modern acts like Rodney and the like. The place has no air conditioning and it was quite warm in there during the concert. While it was cool outside. While I understand no AC I don't understand no ventilation. The entire place smelled musty and some fragrance trying to cover up the musty smell. The old theatre seats are uncomfortable as well. The sound was good. But the after souvenirs you had to have cash to buy anything and all I had was a debit card. All in all the theatre IMHO needs to up it's game alot to attract top acts like Rodney and keep them and me...

If historic locations of acting and "treading the boards" is your thing, then you must, must, must visit this beautiful historic theater! Lovingly maintained since the copper rush of the late 1800's, it's smaller size and lavishly antique interior recall an older time when stars of the stage were legendary figures. Such a figure was Sarah Bernhardt, a French actress, who was loved and admired by Alphonse Mucha, the man who created the Art Nouveau art style. In those days, Calumet was an adjunct to the Calumet and Hecla Copper Mine, and the town was bustling with people eager for a grand night out. Her performances gathered crowds and all were thrilled to see the famed actress whom many today consider one of the best known of all time. While things have become a lot slower in Calumet since the days of copper mining, the town has not forgotten them especially since their lovely theater is still hosts performances to this day. I understand that tours are...

Such a historic place with many memories. Go visit it and read all of it's history. Sit in the VIP seats with the attire they offer to wear. The girl who worked the front desk that day was so fun, happy, and informative when we stopped by. We didn't have time to take the full walk through informative tour. Learn about Madam Majeska before you go. This place is so historic that I hope to go back for a show someday. I have attached some photos from our visit. No orbs...sorry. We tried.

Tom was a wonderful guide! Our children loved the tour! There are so many ornate details throughout the theatre! All of the secret passageways and doors were so cool. The stories of people who preformed there and love of the community of people who care enough to preserve and repair the theatre is heart-warming! A beautiful piece of history, pay the small amount for a guided tour, you see so much more and the money goes toward improvements!

My husband and I saw the Moody Blues cover band, Time Traveller at the theater. The band was really quite good, and the overall experience ranked near the top for our two week vacation in The Keweenaw. We also took the guided tour a couple of days later. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and fun. 10/10, would highly recommend.
