Carter Lumber used to be a very large chain of hardware supply stores that sold a variety of building materials like Lowe's or Home Depot. In the late 1990s most of these stores have totally disappeared only to be replaced by the larger big box retailers. The Standalone retailer in Canal Fulton Ohio still sells building materials and lumber as well as odds and ends at discount prices. Very much like a true outlet store you can often find mix match odds and ends for your home building project at exceptionally low prices. Need a light fixture, possibly a bathroom vanity, a shower door, some Lumber, maybe new soffits for your roof or even new faucets for your bathroom sink.
