Elm Ridge Event Center made our wedding absolutely perfect. From day one, Josh and Sarah were amazing, patient, communicative, and genuinely kind, even when I had a lot of questions. They never once made us feel like we were asking too much. They even worked with us to accommodate our vegan guests. Lol for every request, question, or idea I had, they were like “Cool, we’ve got this.” The food was delicious, the cake was gorgeous and tasty, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how good the drinks were. Also the venue was stunning.
On the big day, Sarah legit just jumped in with helping unload things from our car. Lol I didn’t expect anyone from the venue to help with that and even said she didn’t have to lol. She not only didn’t mind but was excited to join in. Every single staff member carried that same “we’ve got you” energy. Tables were cleared in record time, drinks magically refilled themselves no matter where I was in the venue, and if there was ever any tiny miscommunication, it was handled immediately and gracefully. Jeff, our DJ through their all-inclusive package, absolutely ran the night. He was professional, fun, and so good at reading and running the room. When I say he ran the night, I mean he orchestrated the wedding walk, made sure I was happy and calm before it was my turn, and made sure we were on time with every main part of our timeline. He was legit amazing and our guests, and the wedding party, were impressed lol.
Elm Ridge didn’t just meet our expectations, they went above and beyond in ways we didn’t even realize most venues wouldn’t. The whole day felt effortless, joyful, and full of care. Josh, Sarah, and Jeff made a day that was so important to us feel so comfortable and just…idk, it all felt right and magical. Lol, I'm tearing up thinking about it but that day, start to finish,...
Read moreFor our expectations they did a great job. Our wedding went very well. So why 3 only stars? Slow and poor communication. People have telephones for a reason!!! Not everyone wants to communicate via email. Hartley needs a class on customer service as he treated my now wife and I bad. I had wrote a bad review based on our experience with Hartley prior to our wedding and he threaten our wedding if I did not take it down because of what he did to us. Avoid him at all costs! Not sure who's fault this was but both DJ and Photographer did not contact us until 2 weeks out or less. DJ then rushed us few nights before wedding to come up with a song list.
Wedding day went very well. Hartley was told had it went bad all my guests would leave poor reviews. When my wife and I arrived we were greeted by the DJ to ensure he said names correct. After we were announced and sat at our table we had a few people walk up to us to ensure if we need anything they would cater to us. Food was very good and our guests did enjoy our choices. The bar was great and all staff was very friendly!!!! Our cake was awesome!!! My wife and I are very happy with how our reception went. We are still waiting for pictures from photographer however she was a delight to work with.
Recommendations to Elmridge. Use your telephone. When doing your all inclusive package make sure you have the documents available from your other providers such as documents photographer would need to make a successful photo shoot, The paperwork the DJ will need to make a successful event, a timeline of when things need done for other vendors you are using. This can also be a PDF file emailed if you want to be paperless for the most part. However do not discredit those who do not want to be a part of the...
Read moreTheir "$5000" wedding (really a little more that with all the tax and gratuity and everything added on) is a lot like a $500 car. If that's the level of service you're expecting for your wedding day, book here. You have to book on a Friday to get that price, though - Saturdays are extra, and there are a lot of "nickel and dime" extras.
The facility could really use a LOT of work and is visibly dirty. Everything is worn -- carpets, plates, silverware, etc. The lighting they do adds some color and hides some of the dirt and wear, but doesn't look as good in person as it does in the pictures on their website (it costs extra, too). The staff is not accommodating, and they have a very "factory" style. The food is bland and sort of squishy, but there's plenty to feed your guests; the bar service is fine.
The cake is ok -- really limited designs and not able to do any real specialty designs. Their DJ is ok -- again that very factory-style approach to planning and not a lot of willingness to do anything outside the box.
Nothing else is included in the "all inclusive package besides the standard venue/catering stuff plus DJ and cake. Not sure why it is called an "all-inclusive" package, when it doesn't even include all of the stuff the venue does???
Overall -- would...
