Frank Sarris Public Library — Attraction in Canonsburg

A hidden gem in this wonderful little quirky patriotic town. It's comfortable, clean, well-stocked and inviting. The staff is lovely - easy to find, friendly and happy to help. There always seems to be something interesting or fun going on here. From children's story time or a craft show/sale to a group of locals engaging in a lively debate about a new book, and you can join in everything. Of course if you would rather, you could also opt to just grab the new bestseller and one of the pretty much ever-present Sarris candy bars they have for sale at the counter and cozy up in a comfy chair for hours. Not allowed to use mobile phones on Wi-Fi. I tried to check email and load images. It just sat and spun. So I asked. I haven't really visited a public library except tax forms last year. Okay! Big change for me to not have this option. April 26, 2022 UPDATE After asking one of the staff recently about WiFi issue, depends on where you're at with your phone or you get a "dead" zone. Printed copies one evening when an older gentleman was there. I paid for what he handed me which included three color copies that were not mine. Handed them back to him. His response "oh". No refund for having charged me for someone else's things left in line on the printer. I emailed the library immediately. Contacted library next trip. Too bad. So sad.
