Chicco Baccello — Restaurant in Canonsburg

If you want lunch in Canonsburg that is not typical fast food fare, or pizza, this place is a great option. The place is very open and inviting and the sandwich and salad selections are freshly made to order and very reasonably priced. We tried their spicy turkey sandwich and a chicken salad and were very impressed with the quality of the food.

The salad featured a mix of greens which were not your typical iceberg. Then, there were layers of sliced chicken - that we saw them slicing to order – craisins, blue cheese, nuts, and more. Their balsamic vinaigrette was vey tasty as well and was clearly made in house. The spicy turkey sandwich featured Boars Head turkey which was also cut to order. There was also a layer of Habanero-flavored cheese, banana peppers, all layered on your choice of bread. I chose a wheat bread. This was then toasted and served warm. I also got a side of their Macaroni salad. This was a standard macaroni salad and while reasonably good, was the weakest part of the meal.

After ordering, you get a stand with a number and they bring the food to your table. Service was quick and there were lots of tables that sat from two to six people in the space. There are also two areas with couches and easy chairs for enjoying coffees and pastries – which they also sell.

Prices are moderate and this makes for a good deal given the quality of what you’re getting. They are only open for breakfast and lunch and...

Love the Washington location. Tried the new Canonsburg location today. Such a charming space. Coffee and yogurt were very good. But I have to comment on the woman working the register. She ignored me while I stood at the register for at least a full minute. She was filling an order but it was not busy. A simple smile or "hello, I'll be with you in a minute" would have made all the difference. My friend came in 5 minutes later and commented that she acted the same way towards her. Not the face you want to show your customers. Please train her better or put someone else at the register. This makes your business look bad. ...

Super cute coffee shop and lunch spot, the decor is perfection and the vibes are lovely! There was a man playing guitar on this Saturday morning and it was so pleasant and not too loud. The food looked amazing but we only got coffee and damn if it wasn’t one of the worst lattes I’ve ever had in my life. Just watered down, stale tasting, flavoring was off… we couldn’t even finish half like they were just disgusting. I don’t know how they are making them but it actually tasted like lukewarm dirty water to the point where my stomach was upset like it didn’t even taste like there was any coffee in it?
