The first time I came here, I lucked into some pretty good deals. Half gallons of paint 2.00, quarts 1.00. They do still offer those but theyre never available in any real colors, often its just super old off white or clear. Spray paints are $2 & up. Not a hideous price but double the cost of Walmart And this is supposed to be a goodwill type organization. Occasionally u might an item priced appropriately as I purchased a decent sized peg board for my tool room at only $2, but I failed to find a light fixture below $25, avg price was $50 for what where obviously used, worn in appearance. Never have i found any deals on appliances, most are priced as if the stores crew had sentimental attachment to these often older washers/dishwashers. Each time I go I find less bargains and higher prices. Donated plates, including the cheapest plastic ones found at walmart for .50 to 1.00 marked at 3.00 or more. Saw a square full & pie plate similar to dollar trees, both marked at 15.00 each as if they where some type of rare fine China. It is what it is, hit or miss donations ans all but its beginning to look like the staff could be sterotyping those less financially stable, those who need this assistance the most. Of course ive never heard it said aloud, but the prices are frankly at least partially insulting wether u feel they think poor don't know better or have fewer options. I think ill look for recycles sold from...
Read moreCustomer service from store manager was horrible just because your located in a small town doesn't mean you have the right to speak to your customers in unpleasant manner or pick and choose what price you want for certain customers that you know when a customer ask for help on a price there is a reason because the customer is struggling financially and needs alittle more of a discount on a "USED" donated product. The lady "store manager"was very rude and it took all my pride just to ask if she could help me out on a few dollars discount. It's a shame that manager's behavior is ACCEPTABLE just because your located in a small area! She picks and chooses what she wants the price to be and bluntly told me to go to Lowes or Menards! I hope someone reads this and puts her in her place and tells her what Habitat for Humanity is all about helping people! She needs to go work for Lowes or Menards she definitely doesn't need a job working for Habitat for Humanity treating her customer's...
Read moreIf your looking for anything repair related this is absolutely the place to go. I am surprised at some of the things the have in stock and at a discount price. They've come a long ways from when their does first opened. On my last trip I ran across plastic clothes hangers. I mention this because I had just had a need of some hangers. For 10 hangers DG want 4.95, which I bought 1 package of 10. Here I found them in bundles of 20 for 1.00 so I stocked up buying 4 bundles. Would have never thought of looking at a discount place like Habitat for hangers and the list of things they have that surprise me goes on and on. I would recommend at least going there on the days they are open; Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, to check out all the things they have, before buying anything, for any project, any...
