Hempies — Attraction in Cape Girardeau

Old Hippies for Hempies! Love this little shop! Lots of items to choose from, and even though not a large selection of tie-dye, a very good selection of tie-dyed clothing in many sizes. I have been in many of these type of shops, in several states, and each and every one of them is always a nice visit. You never know what you're going to find. Many nice gift ideas, and decorative items. The fragrance of incense in the air, is always a very welcoming hello, as you walk through the door, along with the staff being very friendly...

It's not exactly a wallet friendly place to shop unless you're just in the market for incense, but they also have a lot of unique items you don't find elsewhere in town. The employees are a bit too involved when you're looking around, but they aren't unfriendly. It's a small downtown shop, so watching the merch closely is understandable. It's a good little store that's lasted a long time in a town where other stores like it typically fail....

Super rude staff sadly. The whole time you are in there they constantly watch you, after picking up one item they insist on taking it from you and holding it at the register. I understand it’s policy to keep eyes on customers at all times, but most of the girls in there are very snooty and give you very nasty judgmental stares.
