My first time in the remodeled expanded store. I found a pair of bamboo slacks or so I was told. There was no price. The store clerk said, oh let’s look at the others. I said I had and they weren’t priced either. She looked at a different color and they were marked. She encouraged me to try them on which I did. After my purchase I was informed there was a three day return on clothing for store credit. I gave her my credit card which her machine would not read. I told her I had just used it 15 minutes ago and Aldo this morning and there was no problem. She tried it on the other machine and it wouldn’t read. Very strange. I never have problems. I wrote a check. I went over to Starbucks to make a purchase and see if the card worked and it did. I went back to Magnolia and told the clerk it worked fine. I got a thumbs up. This clerk had told me that she didn’t have other problems with cards not being read. I asked the other clerk on my way out if indeed there were similar problems with cards and she said that it had happened before. I didn’t get the straight scoop from the first clerk. What a fun and beautiful place. Felt like I was in a well curated museum with an incredible selection of unique, eclectic items. Usually I find one, maybe two things I want or could see in my home but in this store I want every single thing. The whole store has a really warm vibe to it.
