Betty Burgers — Restaurant in California

Second time eating at Betty's. First time was in Capitola and it was better. The first time is always the best. (That's not true at all!😉) But seriously, the garlic fries here were not even in the same league as the garlic fries we had in Capitola. These barely had any garlic at all, a vampire could probably gag them down with just mild annoyance just like we did. I was suspicious when the kid taking our order hardly took his eyes off his cell phone to help, then immediately sat himself back down on the counter and buried his face back in his phone before I signed the credit card receipt. We threw the fries away, embarrassed we told our friends how good they were the last time we had them. So why 3 stars and not 1? Well, I had the Duke burger and even though the pineapple and bacon slices were on the skimpy side (so thin they only had one side), the beef, lettuce, onion, tomatoes and pickles were excellent. Also, the sun was shining on the deck, there was a nice breeze blowing and I thought anyone can have a bad day. Not even Betty can keep an eye on all her naughty boys,...

We’ve stopped in here several times over the years, as well as the other location. It’s good not great, but definitely works if you want a burger and fries that’s better than average. I tried the fried chicken sandwich last time and not bad, but I’m going burger next time. Onion rings are the beer battered kind, and they are good but I honestly prefer the panko style. Overall it’s good. I’ll definitely be back if it’s convenient, but I won’t go out of my way. This review is of course subjective, so if the chicken sandwich and onion rings were my preferred style I’d give them 5 stars. In general a good American...

A local burger shop. Space is tiny, but just the right size for a nice little gathering. Plently of parking as well. They're also dog friendly too.

Atmosphere is dull and empty though. It feels vacant and boring. Needs to be more lively and decorated cause it feels hollow and dead otherwise. Really ruins my mood when I wanna enjoy a meal.

Prices have skyrocketed though! Over $10 for the most basic of burgers! The food is good, but NOT worth that damn much! I was a fan of Betty's, but I can't justify that price whatsoever! Not coming back...
