What an absolutely fire hotel for a premium price.||||Firstly, we checked in for our two rooms at 16.05, when check in starts at 16.00. Told that only 1 room was ready and they had no idea when the 2nd would be available. When I enquired why it was not ready they just shrugged. I asked if they would call me but was told ‘nope sorry, you’ll just have to keep coming back’. Right, so your cock up but my inconvenience- great.||||Checked into first room to secure the 4 suitcases and waited 30 minutes to check in.||||Wait 25 minutes in a long queue to get the 2nd room. Only 1 person serving. When I asked from the queue if others could assure (2 members of staff stood in the restaurant area talking for the same 25 minutes!) I was told No!||||Get our room and find it’s not next to the first, as promised. In fact, it’s opposite the bins, that stink so you can’t open your window. Also, we are told they empty them at 5.00am by truck! ||||So, we get back to the queue and wait another 20 minutes. Reallocated another room close but not next to our other family room (they gave it away to someone in the queue!) and moved again. ||||This time our room is now next to a hen party that have descended. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. Imagine a coven of cackling witches, plotting a Halloween venture, with tequila and you get the idea. So much for our quiet room.||||I join the queue again and we get moved to a third room but only the next morning. They give me a key and tell us we can move our bags anytime before 11.||||We get up at 8.50, pack our cases (again) and move rooms. We leave the hand luggage and some drinks in the fridge, intending to do two trips between rooms.||||We do the first trip, Get back to the room for our second trip and find it’s been cleaned (in the 5 minutes we were gone!!). Go to complain. Hand luggage is there on empty beds, but our vodka, cokes and cocktails in a can have been thrown away. I go to the front desk absolutely livid, and ask how this is possible to go into my room without permission, throw away my property and they tell me to just register it as lost and found (wtf!)||||I explain it’s not lost, their staff took it, and should not have even been in the room before 11. This is effectively theft. Front desk go and speak to manager and I’m told there is nothing they will do. So it appears Hilton’s official policy is to enter rooms unlawfully and steal your stuff, then dispose of it with no evidence. Good job Hilton!||||Was told a manager would talk to us about this in our remaining two days and we still have no follow up on leaving day. ||||Regarding the accommodation, the pool is unmanned and goes way past 10 at night. Kids are screaming, shouting and playing with drunk parents well past ten unless you complain. Again, nobody at front desk cares, but eventually they send security if pushed.||||There is no room cleaning unless requested 24 hours before, so don’t forget to do that. As you’re on holiday, you likely will (after all, it’s standard to have rooms cleaned in hotels, so why remember), again another cost cutting exercise in what should be a premium experience.||||The money grabbing is ridiculous, making people pay for parking at 10 dollars per day, when the only real way to get to a hotel off the freeway is by car, and there is ample parking. ||||The restaurant has similar service. We sat for 10 minutes after being seated by the concierge, with nobody else in the restaurant. Eventually a chef came out, looked embarrassed and ran to get a waiter. He ambled over without a care in the world, no apology and disinterestedly asked if we’d like drinks. Took our order, then disappeared for a good 15 minutes. Food was eventually ordered and served at a similar pace (ie sloth like) and was itself passable, but expensive for what it was.||||The rooms are all off long corridors. Each end is a heavy door that slams, shaking the floor. The lack of soundproofing is horrific so every person chatting and stopping past will be heard in your room.||||In short, this hotel is a joke. It’s noisy, badly serviced, feels unmanaged, exploitative in charges and I feel that the staff entered our rooms illegally and removed and allegedly disposed of our belongings. When informed, Hilton have done nothing to follow up or rectify this situation. Giving this 1 star is generous to...

Facts: $10 a day hidden parking fee $4.95 a day internet fee for DSL and VPN $10 an hour to rent a bike Low shower pressure No private balconies on the ground floor Paper thin walls; you can hear EVERYTHING No maid service until after 3 days of stay No breakfast
Experience: I stayed for three nights and four days at the Seacliff hotel.
First Night: Upon arrival the front desk person was rude, inexperienced, and not very knowledgeable about the hotel layout. We didn't receive a map or clear instructions on how to get to our room. Our room was in building three and near the main entrance. You could hear and feel the room shake every time a guest entered the building. I didn't get much sleep.
Second day/night: We had a neighbor who smoked cigarettes outside in their nonprivate patio event though the rooms are smoke free. The cigarette smell filled our room quickly and made it very uncomfortable to stay in. The hotel has strict quiet hours that begin at 10pm. Our neighbor was blasting their TV very loudly and we called the front desk to ask them to quiet it down. They never called our neighbor (the walls are paper thin, we would have heard them call) Because our neighbor didn't turn down their TV, we called the front desk again, and this time we asked to switch rooms. They said they called the room to ask them to turn down the TV (lies!) they also told us they didn't have any rooms available to allow us to switch. Eventually after about an hour, they sent security to knock on the door and ask our neighbor to turn down the TV. We didn't get much sleep on the second night as well. During the day we asked for a map so that I could check out the Koi pond and a different responded with, "Hmmm, a map? I think I've seen those around" and she gave me one that had marks all over it.
Third night: At 3:05 am I was awaken by screams in the hallway. It was a couple arguing about infidelity. Again, I didn't sleep well. We asked for a refresh on towels and although we reserved the room for two adults, we only received one towel set. (a common problem I've seen in reviews) It's like the receptionists doesn't take initiative or they aren't trained on how to do their job. We had to hunt down the housekeeper to ask for another towel set.
*Misc notes: The tall length mirror is placed in a very awkward and hard to use area between the wall and the bed with no room to step in front of it. You'd have to stand on the bed to be able to use it ( a common problem I've seen in other reviews as well) Couldn't work from the hotel because the internet speed you need to run your works VPN cost $5 a day. What a rip-off! Not sure why they charge for parking but I wish they wouldn't
For a Hilton brand hotel, I expected more. I am highly disappointed with my stay as many others have mentioned in their recent reviews. I wish I would have read the reviews before staying at the hotel. I saw the 4.5 rating and thought I would have a great stay but go read the recent reviews and make your decision from...
Read moreI chose this hotel because of its convenient location and I had stayed here years ago and had a wonderful experience with the room and amenities. Things however, have changed since it has taken on new ownership and rebranded as a Hilton "Tapestry Collection". According to my research, this line of Hilton hotels are based on creating a unique experience targeted at millennial guests who seek a more personal touch. In reality, they removed/ downgraded many amenities in this process and put others behind a pay wall. I could go on and on but I'll share some highlights.
Even before we booked out stay we ran into this nickle-and-dime business model as their hotel requires a two-night minimum". As if a one night stay wouldn't be worth their time. When we checked in we also discovered there was a mandatory $10 per night charge for car parking. We didn't even have a vehicle and found it wasteful to be required to pay an additional $20 for someone else's parking spot, but we didn't think much of it at the time.
When we got into our room, without the use of luggage carts, which was a previous amenity now removed, we found the bathtub was half the size what we remembered and smaller than our apartment unit. The shower curtain that retains the water only went halfway down, so it didn't actually stop the water from leaking and flooding the rest of the tiny bathroom, which we abruptly cleaned out of fear of water damage or a huge cleaning charge. We also discovered the internet ran at DSL speeds, but luckily they offered "high speed" internet for the low price of an additional $4.99 per night! I was never able to clarify if this was a per device charge or per room as we would rather use our 5G unlimited data.
Unfortunately, in spite of this historically being a relatively upscale hotel when we returned for the night, we found there was a very loud outside part of people, with many of the attendees standing on the road to the back parking or parking their cars so we couldn't get back to our room. The noise was so loud we could hear it from our building in the back of the property.
The next morning we awoke and were expecting to have a continental breakfast, which is a staple of any 3-star hotel and had been previously offered at this location when it was a Best Western. Unfortunately their rebranded restaurant "Sevy's", formally a local favorite know as Severino's, had served as a replacement to the previously complimentary breakfast. Because of course why would they offer something for free when they could charge us for it 😩. This was carved into our experience as so many features were additional charges, I'm honestly surprised they didn't charge for extra towels, although I might be speaking too soon as I haven't received my final bill yet.
In summary, this hotel went from a solid 3-star experience to a tacky "millennial experience" with cheap renovations to make it appear unique but it only serves to mask the real 2-star...
