Everyone was nice, however we didn’t have a great experience with one employee: SADIE When we called to double check on a product that we had seen the day before (and to double check it was still there before we drove all the way up to Carlsbad) she immediately told us over the phone that they do not carry that or any tents…it was a quick, chipper and rude response…and an immediate no without even attempting to help us or see if she could find it…I had to tell her that they do carry camping equipment and tents and received some pushback… I worked for almost 5 years in a sports retail setting and I would never have treated anyone like that EVEN IF I DIDN’T THINK WE CARRIED THAT PRODUCT…I understand that someone might not pay attention to their products in store but usually everyone that works there is super helpful and kind…not fake. In person we also did not have the best of experiences either…this person does not come off as an asset to your store…
On a separate note MORGAN IS AMAZING! I usually try to find her to asks questions every time we are there. If you call the store I would ask for Morgan immediately! love her! Everyone on the floor was super polite and made our experiences shopping there lovely…unlike our experiences with...
Read moreThis store is easily one of my favorite places to come and get some awesome winter goods and birthday presents for friends. I came in this past weekend and they were busy!! When I came in, I was stopped by a person on the floor and he asked if I needed help with anything. I had a specific question about the tents and the sleeping bags. When I asked him my questions and which worked better for what I was doing he took everything in and found me the best items. Andrew was so helpful and kind pulling from his own personal experience with the Mineral King tent and the different sleeping bags. He knew exactly about each product, but the sleeping bag that I wanted, they didn’t have anymore. I got the tent and then continued shopping but it wasn’t until about 25 minutes later when Andrew came up to me and told me about this sleeping bag they just opened in the back. It was so awesome this happened because I ended getting everything I needed for going camping...
Read moreFirst time visit. Will definitely plan to go again. Note to first time shoppers: this is not a traditional store like macys. Or lululemon. This is a little comparable to sample sales. You will need to show a pass to get in. Clothing is in racks and shelves like a traditional store but the staff is there to clean and restock mostly. Not to answer questions or help you find a size. There are only a few fitting rooms. Try on jackets in front of the mirrors around the store and save fitting rooms forget undressed Expect lines for getting in, fitting rooms, and checking out Expect things to be in the wrong place Those inconveniences are worth it for the prices I got some great deals on fleeces ($26 for thin and $33 for Sherpa like) and puffer jackets! (Less than $200 for Mountain Hardware brand, much less than that for Columbia brand) Some things were xx% off lowest...
