Sutherlands — Attraction in Carlsbad

My husband and I went to the Carlsbad, NM store #2408 on 02-21-2014 to pick-up our brand new couch that was on a rain check sense December od 2013. I was so excited to have the new arrival then after having it all loaded up onto my moms truck ( who traveled 22 miles round trip to help us pick up the couch).

I was wondering what was taking my husband so long in the store and find him over at the service desk with 2 other managers trying to figure out why they drained our whole debit card even with an additional sale of $236.99 of items we'd not had purchased in the store. Then the managers stated they have no record in there store of any these purchase's that were separate transactions. saying were very sorry you can't have the couch (which was already in moms truck)and according to our debit card company there are 2 pending payments to Sutherlands. I waited for months for a couch and now according to our debit card company we have to wait up until March 1, 2014 and maybe even longer to get reimbursed. Customer service needs some work Manger should go to some training. On customer service. My 60 yr old husband was there to get 4 bags of concrete & 2 peices of wood with nothing to beable to carry products out to truck cause either was in parking lot or was randomly being used had to do so by hand. Manger chased him to parking lot and treated him like a theft and was searching his vehicle to see what was in vehicle instead of offering to help with products. Kinda makes u wonder while he was so concerned of what my husband had already purchased paid and carried out how many people got away...

I walked in on Friday at 10:45 needing a bed for my new apartment. I was prepared to have to spend a small fortune at some furniture stores or to have to wait ages for delivery. After speaking with the people at this store for about 15 minutes, we had selected everything that I needed. I had a very reasonable price, and everything was delivered and in my apartment by 11:45. Less than one hour from entering the store to having everything delivered, at a great price, and dealing with friendly, kind staff was a wonderful experience. My hat's off to the team at Sutherlands...
