Hansel and Gretel Cottages — Attraction in Carmel-by-the-Sea

Some were excellent. Some were standard. Several were being remodeled or something. It’s fine to see, but I’m gonna say if you didn’t know they were labeled Hansel and Gretel houses you wouldn’t notice if you drove by them, other than a few.

Not a lot, but there’s a decent amount of hill walking. So if you’re with anyone elderly, it might be a little challenging.

We parked around sixth Avenue and Santa Fe St. This seems like a good starting point.

Pre warning when looking for the cottages you are able to get a map at the library that gives you the locations. All the homes are in a residential area with a lot of hills.
