It's difficult to leave a review for this agency because, while the Tim Allen team that handled our rental (on Isabella on Carmel Point in Carmel in the winter of 2025) were attentive and helpful, the client they represented was not. Nor was this very very expensive rental house up to the quality expected for such a high-priced rental. So much went wrong during our 3 month stay. The dishwasher was broken and had to be removed for repair despite the advice given to the owners that it needed replacement. We had a methane gas leak from the fireplace that, despite my reporting the smell to the Tim Allen office, went unaddressed until I bought a gas leak detector from Amazon which showed two leaks from the gas fireplace so high it alarmed the detector at the highest level. Fortunately the gas utility came immediately to shut off the gas to make a repair. There was also a big flood from water gushing outside the house from a broken water pipe in the house. In addition, this 4 bedroom house lacked amenities that you get from a hotel room half the price. Some of these may seem trivial but all together became an annoyance. No blackout curtains in the master bedroom despite three houses across the street that kept their outdoor lights on all night keeping the bedroom too light at night. No chair in the master bedroom. No mirror in the dressing room. No front bench to take off and put on outdoor shoes. Only 4 wine glasses--we bought more. No stools under the kitchen island despite the overhang intended for them--we bought 2. No cloth napkins for the dining table-we borrowed them from friends plus other kitchen things. Nasty smelly wet mold in the collar of the clothes washer that I could not completely eradicate after wiping with bleach multiple times. Using that washer afterwards stained my clothes and one of the owner's pillow cases because of the residual bleach. The house thermostats were set at the same temperature for the entire house making the master bedroom too warm at night. I was told to open a window but the nighttime temps were 40 degrees outside-so not a solution. One TV remote was broken so we bought a new one. I don't put all of these problems on Tim Allen group because the owner was responsible for much of it. My dog did cause a problem when she tried to get out of a room and left some superficial scratches on the door. We consulted a contractor who offered to repair the door which he said was easily done. But we were told that the owner wanted to have it done and charged us $1400. Finally, too late, I saw a camera tucked under an eve of the outdoor patio and, re-rereading the rental agreement, saw that the owner reserved the right to film people at the front door and the patio. Once I saw that, I stopped using the hot tub without a bathing suit. Still, this felt like a big invasion of privacy. We return to Carmel every winter but, needless to say, we will never rent this place again. We received no consideration for the many problems and lack of amenities we experienced. And I'm inclined to avoid a Tim Allen rental--they represent owners who charge too much for what they deliver. Conclusion--greedy owners and lack of attention to basic amenities that one would find in such a high priced rental. Rent from Carmel Realty instead. We have had wonderful experiences with this firm. I know that this review may sound like the trolls who post bad reviews just to harass. I assure that this is not such a review. I rarely leave reviews but I did this one because, while the ad for the rental makes the place look wonderful, our experience with this "luxury rental" did not live up to what...

She’s known and respected and a true expert in the local real estate market. Liz is whip-smart, wise, responsive and her work ethic is something to behold. Her finely-tuned instincts about when and how to list proved invaluable and correct. When we ended up in a fortunate yet stressful multiple bidder situation involving a series of offers and counteroffers, her calm expertise yielded an optimal outcome.
Whether you are buying or selling in the Carmel/Carmel Valley area, Liz would be a sound choice. She truly goes the extra mile and will execute her fiduciary duty to you and only you until the deal is done. If that’s not enough, she’s a super person, fun to work with and she is a Monterey Peninsula native with a deep understanding of and love for the area.

Read moreSpectacular property situated above Bixby Bridge overlooking pacific and coastal ranges. The property is high enough that it remains sunny and warm, sitting above the clouds and fog often covering the Carmel and Monterey regions. Remote, isolated, private ranch with a stunning grand room for entertaining and a separate recreation center for daytime pleasure (billiards, gym, kitchen, movie viewing, etc). It has an enormous professional chef's kitchen with all necessary utensils. Points of caution to note: it is an odd sleeping layout where guests are spread out over several different cottages situated on a large ranch. This can be experienced as a positive (for grown couples seeking privacy during a visit) or a bit awkward for families with younger children. For our trip it was perfect, with several older...
