Besides the * initial * help we received in finding an apartment for an off-season monthly rental, just about every interaction that we had with Sea Coast was negative once they got our money and had us as tenants under contract. Every single thing that we communicated to them was forgotten, neglected, and poorly handled. We had a legitimate safety issue regarding a smoking outlet in the apartment, which we reported upon move in on a check in sheet and also verbally to multiple employees in the office. A month later, no one had addressed it but then we discovered a sparking outlet and reached back out to them to REMIND them of the smoking one that we had already reported as well as inform them of the new sparking one. The smoking one was replaced, however the head of maintenance told us that the sparking outlet was fine based on the maintenance team’s evaluation because they were replaced over the summer so it must be user error that caused the sparking (it wasn’t), and that the issue didn’t require a professional electrician to take a second look at them. She would not budge and kept asking me “What more do you want us to do?” Uh… have a professional electrician to double check that “new” sparking outlet?! Nope. For safety purposes, we didn’t use that outlet for the rest of our 8 month stay. We had issues with them all the way up to the end wherein they didn’t refund my security deposit in the way that they told me they would via written communications a month and a half prior. It was a terrible experience all around because although I understand that mistakes happen, Sea Coast seemed to lack the ability to ever express genuine concern or apologies for any of the mishaps that they made on their end which were unfortunately very frequent. Customer service is severely lacking and I will never recommend anyone to rent from this company because of that alone. Spend your money with a company that actually expresses some level of concern about you before you find out the hard way with Sea Coast in...
Read moreThe house that we had scheduled to rent since January 2022 was clearly not ready for guests when we came in September 2022.
There was an entire house being constructed right beside the house we rented and a pool was being constructed on the other side. If we had known before we came all of this was going on, we would have cancelled the vacation. There was constant noise of hammering and sawing from both of these sources, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 6 pm. The noise was heard inside and, of course, heard louder when trying to relax on the outside deck or swimming in the pool.
Speaking of swimming in the pool, while using the pool during those times made the women uncomfortable because of the workmen that were gawking at them as they swam. Sawdust rained down on the swimmers as well. Needless to say, the pool was hardly used during our stay because of this. It's a shame because we rented that particular house because it had a pool. The last issue due to this construction was that it was a safety problem when walking from the gate to our cars. We were afraid that tools or construction materials would fall down on us as we were passing in between the house and the construction site.
The downstairs air conditioning was not working when we arrived on Sunday. Sea Coast Rentals did not send someone to fix it until Tuesday.
The palmetto bugs were another issue. Sea Coast Rentals said they sent someone to spray on Tuesday, but we were still pestered by these bugs when trying to relax on both decks at night throughout the entire stay.
The grass looked like it hadn't been cut in months, clearly not prepared for guests. With all of this, the bedrooms were all we could comfortably use during our stay and that's not what we paid for.
We were really disappointed with the lodgings. We won't be visiting Kure Beach again. There are other beaches to visit with far nicer houses with property management companies that take their guests seriously. We also won't be recommending renting a house from Sea Coast...
Read moreWe stayed at 619-2 on Carolina beach for a week. A beautiful home just steps away from the sand. I would stay with this company again in the future. We had an elevator in the house and it came in handy especially for groceries and luggage. I really liked how they provided the sheets for the rooms: The bedding for mattresses were wrapped so that you can make your own bed with unopened/unused sheets. Everything was clean. I think some things could have been updated, such as the tv in mine and my sons room.. it looked like something from 1985 lol. It also didn’t work. Didn’t bother me per-say, as we were mostly outside. However, when paying to stay somewhere for a week in 2023 a lot of people would expect flat screens and working technology. The tv in the living room worked unless you turned it off - then something with the cable box wouldn’t reset/turn back on. So we just kept it on mute until we wanted to watch something. The kitchen was my favorite part. I’m a sucker for an all white kitchen. Wish I had that island at my house! Massive! Had family dinners on it almost every night of our stay. All the bedrooms were very spacious and the beds themselves were comfortable. I think next time I will rent a house where each bedroom has its own bathroom, though. The keyless touchpad entry to our house was nice as we didn’t need to keep up with hard keys the whole time. It does have a shared pool with other rental homes, but honestly that was a plus to our stay as my son loved being around other kids his age. All in all the house was perfect for our large family and we all had a great weeks stay with Sea Coast Rentals! Thank you for a...
