Safari Park — Attraction in Carrollton

As a mother of five very busy, active little bees, I have grown to just adore this park. It has a wide variety of activities to engage kids of all sizes and abilities(There is even handicap accessible equipment!). I especially enjoy that there is a covered pavillion with benches and a fence around the perimeter. A few key points I think a parent may want to consider:

The playground has a mesh rubber foundation, so there are no woodchips to dig out of shoes.

One of the slides are super slick when wet. My kids didn't seem to mind flying lessons, but it may be a little bit of a heart attack for others.

The walkway is an uphill climb from the parking area, so it can be a bit of a haul for us out of shape folks.

All equipment was overall well maintained. There were some minor repairs needed, but nothing that seemed like a safety issue.

Our family enjoys visiting here for a gentle, but fun afternoon. I suspect it's a bit of a hidden gem. We don't see other kids there very much, but it could also be the times/days we go. My kids and I definitely feel it...

GREAT AREA FOR A PARK!!! IT'S MY 5YR OLD GRANDSON , HOME AWAY FROM HOME!!!! HE LUV'S IT....WHAT'S EXTRA GREAT IS THAT THE PLAY GROUND EQUIPMENT HAS " WAIT FOR IT"....WATER SPRINKLERS!!!!!....SO, WHILE KID'S ARE AT PLAY THEY ALSO STAY COOL!!!! GREAT SITTING AREAS', GREAT VIEWS' FROM ALL ANGLES. IT ALSO HAS A FOOD PANTRY TO DONATE FOOD ITEMS !!! LUV IT!!!! GO TO SAFARI PARK TO ENJOY A PLEASANT PLAY PLAY FOR THE TOTS' AND OLDER CHILDREN!!!! Park was nice and clean. This park has been here for several years. There have been some items removed that appeared to have been on heavy springs anchored in the ground. Someone needs to get out there and make sure to cut the springs below ground level or just go ahead and do upgrades and modifications and dig them up. I know of parks in surrounding areas that have a lot more up-to-date items on the playground. More people would probably visit if it was upgraded. The restroom facility was not sanitary as best i could tell. But if you satisfied with older equipment then...
