DO NOT LAY YOUR HEAD DOWN OR YOU WILL BE YELLED AT. So my girlfriend and I have been coming her regularly for 3 years combined. The staff has always been kind and respectful. However, today my girlfriend and I were there doing some work. She had a headache so later her head down on her laptop to rest for a bit. After about 10 minutes or so, the owner came in the front door, saw her, and asked me if she was okay. I replied “yes she is resting”, thinking it was sweet of him to check on her wellbeing. Then to my surprise, he became very rude and yelled at me that, “she needs to get her head up, it looks bad for business when people are sleeping”. I was utterly shocked that he would talk to a young woman that way (we’re both early 20s) and was left astonished that had just happened. He then walked to the back of the store and stared us down. I took my girl to the car and went back to have a conversation with him to see if maybe he was having a bad day and to tell him that the way he acted was unacceptable, but he had already “left” to go get milk. He may have left or he may have just not wanted to talk with me. Needless to say my girlfriend and I are reluctant to go back there after being treated like that so suddenly and without warning. I don’t care who you are or how your day has been. You don’t seek out a young woman who’s resting and yell at her to satisfy your ego as the owner of a store who thinks it looks bad when people rest. This was an astonishingly horrible show...
Read moreThe first time I went here the experience was absolutely wonderful! The young lady at the desk helped me pick exactly what I was looking for and it was delicious. She also recommended the chocolate croissants which were amazing! I would recommend this place to anyone coming through Carrollton🥰🥰
The second time I visited with my family, we got mixed feelings though.😓 The person who took our order seemed irritated with us vs with other customers.I'm sorry if she was having a bad day and if our order was over stimulating her or if we just caught her at a bad time. She seemed rushed to hear our order when there was no one behind us yet. So, I began my order and apparently said the wrong thing(mocha Frappuccino🥺) and very quickly she said a bunch of things about the drink options which threw me off a bit😥. When it was my husband's turn to order he tried to ask what was good there and if they had any healthy food choices and with no words was just handed a menu and the person walked away. The next customer was greeted with smiles, conversation and undivided attention 😖. Our little girls even seemed a bit off put by the interaction, but other than that, we got our order and...
Read moreBeloved coffee shop enjoyed by locals and visitors alike! This coffee shop serves quality coffee drinks, many types of tea, sandwiches, and baked goods. They always have a rotation of monthly featured lattes and beverages. This is one of my favorite coffee shops to study or work and also to meet up with friends. The staff is so friendly and the atmosphere is cozy. They regularly feature local artist pieces on their walls that are available for purchase. There are couches, high top tables, and larger tables for groups. There are also a few outdoor table options. Great location right in the center of the square and in walking distance to many great restaurants and shops. Plenty of parking behind the square, parking deck, and also right in front of the store front. This place stays packed most of the day so if you are wanting to do some solo work or studying, be sure to get there early to claim your spot! While they do have quite a bit of seating, they absolutely could probably expand and still stay...
