This is a review of the people that work there and not a review of the food as I didn't order anything.
I called this morning to see when I could set up a 5 min meeting with the manager. I wanted to talk to them about the issues with their website and how it was broken (many links straight up don't work and are straight up missing on different pages within the site) and not consumer friendly (A whole host of UI/UX issues. Way too many to get into on here) as well as having some security issues (Will not mention these on here). I was told to come in at 1500 to have the meeting. When i showed up the manager wasn't even there. The AGM, a server (?maybe), a bartender, and another individual (latter determined to be the owner's daughter) were siting at the back of the bar eating, chilling, and counting the till. I asked the AGM if she would like to speak with me, but while talking and providing my name, number, and email to them, the bartender was rude and lied about when I called and what I said.
Some back info: I am a disabled veteran who has AHDH/Autism, so I can come across very blunt and direct and it does have a tendency to throw some people off. I made them aware of the Autism side of things during the conversation.
The server was the only one that didn't try to get rude about anything (shouts out to you whatever your name was ma'am). The AGM seemed to just want to get my info and get out of there, the owner's daughter wanted to argue about things on the site not being broken, and the bartender was very rude in general saying things like "we don't want you here", "we don't like your type here", I can just tell from your vibe", etc...
I have eaten here only once before so i wasn't very familiar with their options. I discovered the website issues yesterday when I was trying to scan their menu online as a customer to choose what I wanted to order today (I have to plan ahead like that due to the Autism/ADHD, I cannot go in and raw dog a menu in person). When I noticed the broken links and things, I checked out the source code and found a whole mess inside.
This may mean nothing to most people, but for me, I will never return. Good Luck with your business and I hope everything goes well for you, but your attitudes are not well suited for customer service/ front facing positions (again, excluding...
Read moreAfter being a loyal customer, ordering the same pizza, the manager decided to cancel my order today and will not accept anymore orders from me. After some great tasting pizzas from here that was delivered, certain days had burned crust and was very greasy in the red sauce, actually dripping with grease . I feel its not my fault they made the error in cooking. Some days it was perfect and tasty, how a simple pizza should be. Im not asking for a super complex lunch here. It's not hard to cook a simple cheese pizza without burned crust. And yes, I know cheese produces grease. But the sauce was actually the undelightful taste plus the burned crust. Ive never had a restaurant do this. They usually get my order correct and appreciate a loyal customer.
To the manager, Mr. Gross, I never harassed your staff. I was always cordial and kind. Not to be childish, but, a couple of your young ladies I spoke with was actually rude to me and i never reported or was ugly. And making a habit of harrassing.. I have plenty of things to do besides talking to restaurants... like I really do have a real life and have to work to pay bills. But the day you canceled my order , I did let the staff member know that I was going to write a google review of my experience. If you took pictures, you would know some days my order was cooked perfect. No problem. The others would hopefully show what I am describing, if they were actually of my order. I do appreciate your staff when I first had the issue. Attentive. To the customer it is clearly different pizzas everytime. Had i gotten the cooks name when they were great, I would have called to see if that person was working that day before I ordered. But, I never wanted any money back, never asked for it. I just wanted a good tasting pizza which is not too much to ask of a food establishment. These orders were my lunch at work. When they were burned and or greasy, I couldnt eat it thus went without lunch all day. Plus wasted money by throwing it in the garbage. I have a medical issue and can not eat burned or greasy food. It makes me very sick. But if you call asking for a good pizza on the days it was horrible, harassment, then you obviously do not understand the definition sir. I never ask anything of anyone that I wouldn't do for someone...
Read moreI eat here for lunch to celebrate when I get a new contract for work. When my gluten-free family travels to Georgia to visit me, we always have to eat here. This place is THE best! Almost all of their menu options can be made gluten free. La Trattoria is one of the few places where you can actually get gluten-free spaghetti with delicious, gluten-free, hand-breaded chicken parmesan! You read me correctly. If delicious, gluten-free, breaded entrees seem like a fairy tale in that dreary world of sampling various cardboard recipes while your personality is slowly and methodically dragged into the gluten-free eating cult that your family or friends are trying to force-convert you too, then you need to stop the insanity and take them to La Trattoria. The gluten free options are plentiful, so when your party puts the gluten-free pressure on you, you can just say, "I'll have what they're having, and make it gluten-free". You won't be condemned to the eternal and solitary choice of the one gluten-free menu item like that "other place", the garden where they don't grow the olives and can't cook their gluten-free penne pasta for the correct amount of time. La Trattoria cooks gluten-free right, EVERY time. I only go to that other place if I HAVE to. If you are a sophisticated person, but still can't stand the thought of eating gluten-free, you may be able to leave an extra tip one day and establish a code word with their staff. Just order everything, and say "Make that gluten-free-free". Say it really fast and your party may be none the wiser, but if you just try the GF menu, you'll probably see what you've been missing. After eating gluten-free for a while, the clouds will part. The sun will shine brightly. The birds will sing. The manic depression will lift. Your arthritis will go way. Your thinking fog will clear up. Your migraines will subside. Maybe other great things will happen too, but you can definitely write off your new GF diet on your taxes. Now isn't that all we really want in life? A life free from worry, taxes and wheat? I'll see you at...
