WARNING DO NOT GO HERE. I'M TELLING YOU.
So when I set up the service no one told me that it instead had to be setup as a claim. So I had to go back and do that and then setup the appointment for the next day. When I got there no one said you had to disable the Stolen Device Protection. I was told it takes AN HOUR to turn off. So I went to work and came back in about an hour. IT GETS WORSE. So they took in the device and worked on the battery replacement. They put in the new battery and the guy hands it back to me. He basically lies to me and says - "Oh btw we did all the tests Apple has us run in order to make sure everything is good. I don't know how Apple's tests miss the basic function that the device WILL NOT CHARGE. The device basically died on the way to work. I plugged it in it would not turn back. So AGAIN I head back to the store. They guy tells me they have no more batteries to use to replace. He instead tells me that he's going to put the old battery back in it and I would have to call Verizon again to setup another claim in order for the guys at the store to setup a warranty replacement. After about 40 minutes he hands me the phone with the old battery back in. The device is BURNING HOT. He tells me that the device turns on but it gets hot. Yep, the device get's so hot it basically shuts off after a minute. That's it, IT WONT STAY ON. The technician (if you can even call them that) basically shrugs his shoulders after I went back and tells me I have to call Verizon to setup a new claim. The optics of him standing there telling me "oh well call Verizon" while he hands me a phone that is now ABSOLUTELY FRIED is insane. I went in there for a simple battery replacement. I ended up having to go to the store 4 times during work and ended up with a dead overheating phone. I can't even make this stuff up.
How are you going to hand someone a phone your techs fried and say "yeah just call Verizon and have them setup a service for you to come back in here again"? HOW? Not even offer to make the call using the lan line there or anything. Not even that. Just a - "welp"
So with my replacement device I'm eligible for apple care. I'm cancelling Assurion, especially with them raising prices next month for horrible service, and going to apple care asap. at least they mess up the phone they hand me a replacement right...

Took my Pixel 4 phone in for a battery change which they did, but cracked the screen in the process because they tried to open the phone the wrong way (first red flag). They replaced the screen, but in the process, somehow managed to break the NFC hardware (second red flag). They replaced it, but then it never really worked well again and you would have to squeeze the phone to make the NFC work. They did not seal the phone properly, which I pointed out from the beginning but they told me it was fine....well it wasn't and shortly after, the back of the phone continued to detach and open (third red flag). I took it in again and they replaced the seal and glued it once more. Still did not seal it well and BONUS: now the phone doesn't connect to cellular network at all...ever. They offered to "open it up again and try to fix it" although "it is an old phone" and said I could drop it off, but can't give me a loaner because "it is not under warranty"... Now I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place: do I take it back to them to try to fix it and pray they don't break anything else in the process or do I take it elsewhere and pay out of pocket for the damage they've caused?
Prior to this, my phone was in perfect working order, excellent cosmetic and functional condition, not even a scratch. With the exception of a quickly draining battery. Wish I'd never taken it here. Now: it doesn't connect to cellular network, is not properly sealed/glued (it is visible and palpable) AND have to squeeze it every time I need to use the NFC. My phone may be "old" but I challenge any of the employees to find a phone of the same age as mine in better or at least same condition as mine was prior to them wrecking it.
This place should not be a "Google authorized device repair center" period,...
Read moreUnfortunately, I had an awful experience with this place. I brought in my iPhone with a cracked display for a replacement, and they "fixed" it the same day for $107. When I picked it up, the front desk person noticed it had turned off unexpectedly and told me to bring it back if it acted weird, promising to fix it for free.
It did act weird—the home button stopped working properly, and the rear camera, which had been fine before, was also malfunctioning. I returned on Friday, explained everything, and left the phone with them. Later that day, I received a text asking me to call. They claimed that something had been damaged when the screen cracked, and now the entire front part needed replacing. Although upset, I agreed to this, as I just wanted a functional phone. I was then told it would cost an additional $140.
Over the weekend, I called for an update, as I needed my phone back. They said the part would arrive by Tuesday. On Tuesday, I heard nothing, so I called again on Wednesday. This time, I was told that the part was actually out of stock and would take another 11 days to arrive. When I went in on Wednesday to retrieve my phone, the home button was now completely unclickable, leaving the phone unusable.
I still don't understand why I was charged initially, only to be given a broken phone. Didn’t they notice any issues while replacing the screen the first time? Couldn’t they have checked that it was working before charging me?
Now I’m left with an unusable phone, $107 not refunded and an option to pay another $140 with a vague promise to fix it in 11 days.
They failed at every step: didn't ensure the device was working before returning it. charged me for a "repair" that effectively broke my phone further. didn’t inform me about the replacement part being delayed.
I am so...
