2nd Street Liquor — Attraction in Casper

2nd st.discount liquor has been in the same location for years. They've remodeled and expanded about 4 years ago and immediately after that they seemed to lose their hometown feel and personality. But recent forays I've had into looking for that perfect wine to pair with our meals or seeking the special drinks for holidays and such has brought me back in and, I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They are gaining back my business and it's owed largely to them going back to the atmosphere that drew me there in the first place. I gave them 5 stars in this review. This location used to be a wonderful place to shop, but after the management change, it's steadily gone downhill. The current manager belittles his associates, gets drunk at the wine and liquor tastings, and fires the only workers who put up with everything, despite the fact that they were doing their job according to the training they received. The new staff don't know what to do half the time and they can't be trained properly because the manager drove away the ones who were valuable...

I've ben to many liquor stores, and I have to say 2nd street liquor is one of the best. Not only for an excellent selection of liquors and wines , but a wonderful atmosphere too. I'd suggest going to Paul for the best recommendations. He has extensive knowledge on a variety of liquors, an exemplary taste, and has never suggested a bad liquor. As for the rest of the staff, they are absolutely great and friendly as can be even when I bring my rambunctious dog in they treat us both...
