I booked to stay a night at the Landmark Inn without knowing a great deal about it aside from it being an old coaching inn.||||I have to say- it really has been one of the highlights of my trip! The site itself comprises a small variety of buildings including an old mill and a museum offering an insight into the history of the Inn. There's some really interesting information and the staff are very knowledgeable and willing to answer any questions. They also do demonstrations as well so on the day I left I think they were doing a talk on pickling!||||The B&B has a small selection of rooms in the inn itself and the family's home. They're decorated to different time periods so mine was the 1850's and I think the others go from the late 19th to early 20th century and you do get to choose your room as well! I was in Room 1 which had the most comfiest bed ever and I got a great night's sleep- it was amazing being able to walk out and see the sunset over the old buildings!||||I was the only guest so breakfast was included and was served over at the old Magnolia Filling Station where they had a good selection of light breakfast items. I think if there are more guests, they do serve it on site.||||Overall- I had an amazing time and would definitely...

Read moreWe traveled during the first few days of January and the property had been closed for the holidays-- that's the only reason I can think that we were the only guests but it was a wonderful experience.||They only have two en suite rooms with bath but we were told that you could request any of the other rooms to be private bath if available. We walked the grounds in the moonlight and it was beautiful. The room has no TV but it does have excellent WiFi and the bedding (sheets) was very soft and comfortable. The room was stocked with shampoo, cream rinse and lovely soaps plus bottles of water. There's an ice machine in the main house. In the morning we went to the main house and our breakfast was set for 2 with nice china. Choice of pastries, fruits, cereals, meats, cheese, coffee, tea, juice-- delicious. The staff was amazing-- and the little museum which had just opened was very informative. We...
