I recently had the pleasure of visiting my favorite coffee shop, Magnolia Filling Station, and it did not disappoint. The staff is incredibly friendly, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee is inviting, and the coffee is simply amazing with rich and bold flavors expertly crafted by the baristas. One of my my go to coffee shops. While, yes, it's in Castroville, but trust me, definitely worth the drive.

It's a super cool former gas station that was converted to a coffee house. The building as tons of character and charm. With plenty of seating, you can chill inside, or catch some vitamin D outside.

Their coffees have always been superb: cortados, lattes, caps made with milks or non milks. Staff always super friendly and the place is always immaculate.

Pro tip: If they have their gingerbread cookies, grab them! Best gingerbread cookies I've ever had.

I consider myself a well-seasoned and well-travelled coffee shop junkie. There are a lot of cool places to go in the San Antonio area. It has been fun trying out a bunch. I only go back if the coffee/lattes are really good, the vibe feels just right and the staff is really into the people who come in and love what they do. The owner of Magnolia Filling Station is awesome and encourages her staff to experiment with baking, with new drinks and is flexible with their hours. She encourages her staff to continue their education and become a part of the business. I literally love going there each and every time I go. Can't "rec" Magnolia enough. 5 stars...
