We really loved this little gem in Castroville. Just got back from a Friday evening with a live band tonight. My mom (who considers herself a fair expert) thought the Margarita pizza was excellent. My teen, who is quite picky, loved his pizza as well. They were very friendly to needed culinary changes for health needs with my husband and his sliders. I got the calamari and the table shared the fried potatoes. The calamari is the best I've had in the whole San An area since we moved here almost a year ago. The potato tapas were also just spot on. I could go just to enjoy a Sangria and the potato tapas tbh, that's how good it was. Atmosphere with the band was excellent, the weather was very nice today so we got a touch lucky there since it wasn't miserably hot. Overall though I'd consider this place a gem and highly recommend it to locals in Castroville as well as anyone in San An looking for good food. Our youngest is special needs and doesn't eat by mouth, but even he really enjoyed the music and atmosphere and was grooving. We want to return for the Thursday paella special, so might update when we get that chance. I do feel like they would benefit from a full bar (but understand what a headache getting a license is). I'd personally also not mind a cider choice like Angry Orchid, but that's personal preference. I still enjoyed the Sangria (and I don't usually like Sangria so it was nice!). Definitely going back though, special...

First time Saturday, March 23,2024.

My husband and I don’t go out much to eat. We can but don’t much. But today while my husband enjoyed a day without me (lol) my daughter & granddaughter picked me up and we went to Castroville. It’s becoming a destination. They have some darling shops and some really neat places to eat. We ended up at Rock & Tapas. I didn’t even know what Tapas were. I decided on the Heroes Silencio Pizza. I was not disappointed! It’s a 12 inch pizza(all their pizzas are 12 inch). The crust was thin, crispy and amazing. I had to get a box to go because I get full fast. I gave the take home to my granddaughter. I chose the Freetail Soul beer! It was so good. My daughter had an amazing Joplin Salad and a Rolling Stone Tapa. My granddaughter U2 pasta. It was all very good. We sat outside because we wanted to. The fly’s were annoying but they brought out this little fan thing. It helped. I recommend Rock & Tapas!

I am so happy to find a place in Castroville giving a wonderful service overall. First of all, I loved the rock & roll concept in the decoration, and the names on the menu are awesome concepts, even in that I enjoy trying the different dishes, and I really want to come back to try them all. If you like rock and live music 🎶 this is definitely the place to come and enjoy great Spanish food, the best pizzas that I've been trying in San Antonio because I am not a pizza person but I came back to this place trying the different pizzas that they have, my 5 yo daughter love them, they are just delicious!, the Paella, tapas, and the desserts are totally best flavor 😋 and also they have Thursday, Friday and Saturday really nice live music 🎶 to enjoy and be relax from a hard week, I hardly recommend to try this place, good prices and the owners are super nice people and the chefs very proffesionals who give you the...

Great service! The place is cozy and welcoming inside. The outside is large with a small area for live music and entertainment. There was no music when we went, but the sign did show the day and times. I ordered the U2 with shrimp ( fettuccine Alfredo), and I needed to add a little salt to it. It is only a matter of preference. My husband ordered the same dish but with chicken, and it was the same for him. We ordered the citrus cake for dessert, and it was delicious! Our waitress was really nice and stayed on top of our service needs. Nice Italian menu (I forgot to take pictures). The wine was served in a chilled glass, which was excellent! Same with my husband’s beer. Overall it was great! Just a tab bit more flavor on the pasta would have been perfect, but again, it’s a matter of preference! Very clean, and friendly staff.
