First time going to this place and it really exceeded my expectations!! We went on a Monday afternoon so we basically had the whole place to ourselves besides maybe 2 or 3 other small family groups. The mini golf was really fun, solely for kid use as the courses were terribly uneven and was practically covered in debris (leaves, small sticks, sand etc) but the kids didn’t mind at all of course lol We truly had a blast!! The water bumper cars were our favorite hands down!!! We got absolutely soaked so make sure you bring a towel or a change of clothes- (although none of us did) it was fine since it’s Palm Springs, that wicked dry heat had us dry in no time lol. The operator was very cool and laid back. I was actually late to arrive after everyone had already got into their individual boats and the dude let me hop in one of the boats with another person. The ride itself lasted at least 20 minutes or more- in fact, there didn’t seem to be a time restriction at all. I think we all just decided collectively that we were ready to get out. The golf carts were cool, but the heavier you are the slower you’ll go because the kids were flying passed us the whole time and we aren’t overweight by no means. Then there’s the rock wall!! Which was challenging even for the adults, we all loved it. The arcade was sweet but we didn’t spend too much time in there. I bought one $20 card for two kids to share, with a $20 purchase you get an extra $5. Each game costs anywhere for 50 cents to a couple dollars. They say no outside drinks or food but this rule was in no way enforced. We even had our own little picnic right on the grass as soon as you walk through the gate.

I took my family for a little bating practice and every machine was busted. I go and report the problem get a new token but then it happen again and again loosing all my tokens I go back and they give me more tokens and at this point I've put in Token in every machine so now I go back ready for a refund and the I assume to be Manager hears me telling front desk and he chimes in and states I'm gonna go fix the problem and for your inconvenience I'll give you a few more tokens.okay so he goes down there takes about 15min to fix and when done I'm literally in the first cage and he passes up my family and I to give tokens to everybody else that was white except me so I had to say hey what about me I lost my tokens I'm the one who reported this, and acted as if he didn't Believe me and as if it was a problem but to all the whites you acted like Robin Hood but to the Latins you where a problem!

So I've been a frequent guest here at Boomers for quite some time. I like to bring my grandson and granddaughter sometimes throughout the week and weekends here to enjoy the arcade and the mini golf course. So far it's been a pleasant time but the past few times we've been here we've sat at a bench to rest for a moment and in those handful of times I've seen a cup with what looks like coffee and cigarette butts. I think it's a unsanitary and a health hazard since my grandchildren like resting on the bench for a moment. I'm assuming it's an employee because of the frequent sighting of it. If whoever is responsible for leaving that cup with those butts inside could pick after themselves, that would be a great help to keeping the park as clean as possible. Especially for children and kids trying to enjoy their time.

We were extremely disappointed with our experience at Boomers. We went on New Years Eve and arrived at 5:45pm. We decided to purchase the 2 hour unlimited pass for eight of us. We talked to the staff at the counter about the pass, and she recommended this. We went on the go karts and overheard the staff talking about the park closing at 7 because of New Years Eve. We were never told this and there was no sign on the door or anywhere indicating this. So we were now getting one hour worth of time for our two hour pass.

We went back to the ticket booth to talk to staff about this. We were told that because we had done two activities already that this had paid for the pass. This was not the point, as we repeatedly told them that. We would have not purchased the pass that night and we would have gone on another day when we could actually use it for two hours. Despite this obvious point, the manager was not willing to do anything. We left the park

I later sent the park an email:

Hi there, I’ve been meaning to contact you for the past few weeks. We were very disappointed with the experience we had on New Year’s Eve.

We came at 5:45 and were a group of 8. The hours of operation indicated you were open till 8. When we chatted to the girl at ticket Center she suggested we buy the 2 hour pass, which we did.

While in line at go karts staff indicated you were closing early at 7, and that the go karts etc. would be winding down at 6:30.

Absolutely no one told us that you were closing early when we thought our two hour pass. We would have come on another day that we could actually had 2 hours.

We went back to the ticket counter to express our concerns and were told that we got our money worth cause we had two go Kart rides. This is not the point…. We would have done way more activities if we had the 2 hour time. We would have never bought the tickets and would have come back on another day.

Please advise how you are going to rectify the situation.

Thank you

I believe that it was only fair to give them another chance to rectify the situation before I posted an online review.

Three weeks later they responded to me:

Sorry to hear your time here at Boomers was disappointing. Our times can vary depending on holidays and on New Year's Eve we closed at 7pm. I recommend calling beforehand to see our hours. Due to our policy, I would not be able to provide a refund once the accumulated attraction usage exceeds two. So disappointing that they continued to make the same point. Why should I have to call for hours when I looked it up on line and it said that it closed at 8. Why would I think that I better call and double check and why would the updated hours not be posted on the front door and why wouldn't the staff tell me this when we bought this tickets. Why would I even think that they might be closing early when it isn't...

My family and I were in palm Springs for the weekend (Saturday) looking for something to do, so i Google mini golf and boomers comes up. Reviews are not good, however we decided to drive by and see the condition of the place. Looked goodish, they were not open yet so we drove up to the front gate and read the operating hours. Why are the true hours not posted on the web site? Anyway on Saturday 11am to 11pm now during the week the rides are open from 4 to 8. first of all lets address some of the negative reviews... #1 staff... the staff was helpful in accommodating our party of four. they seemed to be helping the other families as best as they could. Seemed a little under staffed but it is summer in Palm Springs. the guys outside in the 100+ ° were very nice and even let us swap out slow gocarts after our first race. #2. Mini golf. 3, 18 hole golf courses (not mentioned on their web site) good condition, 3 stars, and obvious signs of renovation. #3 bumper boats. Should be used /played first before golf or bumper cars in 100+° weather. Squirting guns but very slow. Whatever, cools you off. Fountains broken...worker said fixed soon. Whatever that means. #4 go carts. Yep they are what they are. Sometimes they start sometimes they don't. Any of you that has their own lawn mower understands that. So with lack of clients in that 100° weather i understand the staffs lack of wanting to start a bunch of cars to sit idol. But after smoking my family the first race they started up a couple of other cars in hope of a little compition... didn't help. Ride car #5 or #1 #5 arcade. Most of the games were in working condition. I actually only saw 2 that were not operational. Alot of ticket type games similar to chuck e cheese. 1 party table area with the other under remodel. As clean as i would expect with a bunch of kids running around everyday. #6 rockwall. Too freaking hot but looked safe. #7 batting cage. Looked inoperable not mentioned on website or even offered in any package. So overall good experience. Prices were what we expected. Party of 4 $150 we went with the pro package @ $15 each plus waters and other unexpected expenses. Sunscrean, hat , oh and YOU will need to wear shoes to ride go carts. I had flip flops on and had to buy some from them @ $15. Hope this helps you this summer. Be...

I have never been more disapointed at a business my whole life... Boomers Cathedral city is a COMPLETE waste of time. To anyone who is considering attending this location i beg you not to. my family has been plannng this trip for over 2 months and has called multiple times AND checked the website to confirm the hours of this arcade and outdoor activities. The website AND the service desk when we called were both stating that this establishment opened at 12 and closed at 8 on weekdays. i thought this was ridiculous because by this time it was already scouldring hot, but this seemed like a fun treat at the time so i got my family ready and headed to boomers. when we got to the parking lot i was very confused at the fact that there was no employee at any f the out door rides OR golf. we walked throught the doors and it was a ghost down. i spoke to the coustomer service and i found out why. The unprofessional woman at the front desk rudely told us that the oudoor activities open at 4 but was that anywhere on the website or our 7 phone calls to the place? nope! we were very unsatisfied by the fact that more than half of the arcade games were either not turned on or broken. we were not told anything more than the time by the unhelpful service lady so we walked about the arcade to waste time and all the games were on free play so off course my children started playing but little did we know that we needed a wristband to play, tjis was not stated anywhere in the esrtablishmnt but was rudely told to us by the same service woman. My family was so disaponted by this supposidly "fun" family park. To anyone who is considering attending this place i highly suggest you not to as you will very much regret it. this is not a family fun center.. this is a...
