Avoid this hotel at all costs — unless you want to end up like in "From" tv series. Location: The hotel is decently located — there are stores nearby, which is convenient. Background: This property used to be a Travelodge. It's no surprise they rebranded to shake off a bad reputation. Safety and Environment: The hotel is frequented by meth addicts who hang around the property, use the pool and jacuzzi, and even cut down palm trees. One night, a drug user tried to break into our room. I couldn’t reach the front desk because none of their contact numbers work. It was like a scene out of the show From — someone knocking at your door at night saying, “Let me in, I’m your friend.” Facilities: I used the jacuzzi and developed a rash afterward. The jacuzzi doesn’t even heat up — it’s broken. There were dead bugs and debris everywhere, and no one cleaned it. Deposit Scam: They took a $100 deposit and never returned it. I’ve tried contacting them via email, phone, and through the booking platform, but received no response. They simply scammed me out of my money. Bottom Line: Stay far away from this place unless you enjoy unsafe environments and being ignored by staff.

Awful experience at checkin. When walked in the room, the wall around AC was being fixed and cemented from outside with loud noise and hammerings and etc. The room was dingy and smelled like cheap cleaning product with strong mint scent. Front desk response was awful and even wanting to cancel, they argued and wanted to charge me for 10 min of being in the room. Not a welcoming experience and unpleasant hotel. As a travel agent will never recommend this hotel and Travelodge brand again.

It's a rundown place with some "city miles". It's an okey place if you need a place to sleep over night and don't care about design, surroundings, or higher standard. Room and bathroom are clean and smells fresh. Service by manager is great and he helped us check in a bit earlier. There's a pool, vending machine, and an ice machine. (View over the backyard, reception, is interesting with all old fridges, shelves and stuff)

Manager himself was very nice. He did his best to accomodote our situation even though we remained paranoid for the rest of night. Just like myself who works for a company; he doesnt own the hotels, he just works there. It was after midnight when we found the bed bugs... one which one was so full of blood near my daughters head. After 24 hours we realized she had been bitten on her upper cheek. I made a complaint to corporate, and this is what I have responded after his ridiculous message shown below as well. If my kids wouldnt have been with me by all mean I would have slept in the truck.

My response to his email..."Wow... first of all, it was 12 midnight. We only needed a room till 8am . Suspicious, that I stayed!?? My babies are 7 month old and 3 year old , you really think we were going to leave in the rain to try to find a hotel at that time. I mean cmon as disgusted and paranoid we spent the rest of the night, it was really cold for my kids for us to leave. I mean Do you have kids? I am not rich nor poor but to go try to find a hotel  For only 8 hours last minute it would have cost 3x the price  . As for our luggage, it was nowhere near the beds.. it remained in the entrance by the door.

This has been very insulting. Just to clarify I didnt insist or ask for a different room. He offered.....and my little ones were asleep, what else could I have done?

The reviews you guys have online about bed bugs and compensation is all true. You guys dont give a crap. "

His response to my initial complaint..."Ms. Alvarez:  I am in receipt of your emails to Wyndham in  regard to your claim of finding bedbugs in your room.  There were 2 bedbugs found in your room.  The premises have been examined by our pest control agency ECOLAB, this morning and other that the  2 bugs you found, their appears to be no other infestation in the room you occupied, number 104.  That room had been occupied over the past 14 days by six other guests and no one had any issue with bedbugs.  When you brought this matter the  night managers attention, he immediately offered to cancel your reservation and fully refund your payment.  You refused his offer and asked for another room.  This in itself is highly suspicious.  Most people after finding something unpleasant in their room, would leave the hotel rather than change rooms.  But you insisted on a different room, rather than leaving the hotel..  Since no additional infestation has been found in the room, other than the 2 bugs you found, and since bedbugs are only found in a hotel after being brought in, in a guests luggage or clothing, I suspect, it is possible, that you, in your luggage were the source of the 2 bedbugs found..   In conclusion, you were offered a full refund should you wish to leave the hotel and you refused the offer, I feel my night manager sufficed the situation with the offer of a refund, therefore your request for additional compensation, due to the above facts, is denied.  TRAVELODGE, Cathedral City  Michael Lewis,...
