Kat is a supreme salesperson. My partner and I initially came into Mattress Firm to inquire about a Sterns and Foster Mattress just to price it out and to come back another time. Kat was in conversation with another couple and assured us she would give us full attention when she was finished. We wandered around pressing mattresses overwhelmed by the number. She returned and quickly learned that we were not ready that day but nevertheless asked us to lie on a Sterns and Foster Mattress so that she could demonstrate the adjustable bed frame which we knew nothing about. Once in the Zero Gravity she began talking about the attributes of this system. We were so relaxed that it seemed impossible that a mattress could do this. And she continued to present product and pricing variations all of which required our full attention and we were so relaxed that we were able to consider each detail. At one point when Kat left briefly to greet another couple, I said to my partner this is probably going to cost $4,500. She came back offering more concessions and ended up quoting $4,600....a price we were ready to pay. If feel that Kat knew her products and the system so well that she could make us comfortable first, anticipate all resistance and subtly engage us to imagine that this relaxed experience was on its way into our new home. A powerful inducement when everything was up in the air with closing on a house, planning a move date and needing to have something tangible in place for our bedroom. I write a fair amount of reviews but this one is a bit more special.. I went out to Palm Springs to spend a few days with my mom. We were eating breakfast and I noticed she was sitting a bit odd. When I asked about why, she mentioned that her upper and lower back were sore.. I immediately checked the date on her mattress and it was very old. So right after breakfast I took her to buy a new mattress... I thought for sure that it was going to be many hours and many mattress stores to find the right one for her... Thank God we went into Mattress Firm. We were greeted warmly by Ron, and I don't think I have ever encountered a more enthusiastic, genuine and patient sales associate IN MY LIFE.. My mom, at 89, is not the easiest person to deal with, she labors forever just to pick out crackers for a dinner party, so I knew that picking out a new mattress would require a sales associate with special skill... Ron spent over an hour with her and was lazer focussed as my mom detailed all her requirements. I have to tell you that I was amazed at Ron's ability, truly amazed... He spent an hour and a 1/2 with her Trying bed after bed. When they were done Ron had sound her just the right mattress. She has had it several weeks now and her back pain is completely gone and she gleefully talks about getting a great night sleep every night... I cannot say enough about this experience. I took my mom to get her a new mattress for the first time in ages and we were fortunate enough to get Zech as an associate. He was not only informative, he was kind, patient and so attentive to dialing into the level of comfort and firmness my mom was seeking. He made suggestions based on her feedback and ended up pleasantly surprising her with the mattress she ultimately ended up buying. We weren't sure intitially and were candid about wanting to check out other options before we committed, so Zech even did us the service of recommending other showrooms where we might find additional options. That kind of salesmanship is so rare and it gave us the confidence to come back after looking around because, simply put, his level of service was so unparalleled that we were excited to give him our business. What a legend, and what a smoothe and easy shopping experience. He also offered that if we need anything in the future to just call him directly for any bed needs - wow!
