Great clips used to be a fairly nice place to go and get a decent haircut. However, now the prices have gone up and the quality of service has gone down. Went in for a basic trim, just dust the ends and make my hair healthy again. Did the whole check in online thing. No issues, anout a 20 minute wait, and for a Friday that isn't terrible. There was only 2 workers there for the day and that 20 minute wait time was definitely not accurate. When it was finally my time the lady was nice enough. Told her what I wanted and she said no problem, but then told me she thought I would look better with some new style over just a basic cut because of my hair type. Said no thanks, I like my length and just want the dusting. She then proceeded to chop my hair off. I now have some "shaggy cut" which in my opinion looks awful on me. For starters the layer she added to my hair is super short, and the underside is thinned out. Really and truly it looks like she tried to do some sort of mullet and failed at it. I've had some mishaps when it comes to my hair and normally can just shake it off with an "it's just hair it grows" thought process. This time not so much. My hair doesn't grow all that fast and I really hate everything about it. I expressed my displeasure and her response was "it will take some time to get used to, you just have to style it right". So I paid the $20 for a service I strongly disliked and will never go back to a great...
Read moreI had the worst experience here out of any haircut I’ve ever had. I saw an older lady who I believe was named Sherri. I sit in the chair and explain what I want. This is the last decent part of my experience. She cut my fringe about a half inch to an inch shorter than I wanted. I also explained that I didn’t need any length off the back. When she was touching it up I thought she was getting the ends, but when I noticed what was happening and reiterated that I didn’t need any off the back taken off, I was met with “I’m just blending it” which I had never said to do. I had been growing my hair out for about 3 to 4 months at this point and was very upset that she had taken away my “good length”. At the end of the cut I was left with an uneven, extra short fringe and a back that was not at all what I had asked for. In my opinion this woman can’t follow instructions let alone do a basic haircut. I certainly will not be going back and if you go make sure not...
Read moreI just walked out of this great clips salon. When I went in, I said I did not want a hair haircut just a shampoo and a blow dry. I was told the shampoo would be $10 but to blow dry my hair would be another 85 blow drying your hair apparently is considered styling! Needless to say I left. It is ridiculous to think that someone would come to you for a shampoo and you would not dry their hair. No other option was offered, however, when I called another Great Clips, the person that answered said, “if we dry your hair more than 85%, we have to charge you for a style”. Had that option been offered at the one that I walked into that’s what I would’ve done instead. I get no service and they make no income. Does not seem like a great business practice to me. I can understand a blowout costing because of the amount of time it would take I do have longer hair, however, putting me under a dryer or just blowing my hair until it was mostly dry...
