Absolutely horrible experience with this shop. I had an unfortunate accident with my Apple MacBook and spilled coffee over the keyboard while working from home. I shut the computer down immediately with it, amazingly enough, still working and dried up the coffee with paper towels and rushed it over to this shop to have it looked at, fingers crossed that it could be saved. I was told $150 to put the computer through their cleaning system that consisted of a nearly 100% alcohol bath and then drying in a special oven. I was told initially that it would be ready in 1 to 2 days. Nearly a week went by and I had to personally go into the store to see what was going on. But this delay is not my primary frustration. When the computer was finally ready, I was told the total was nearly $270 with taxes. When I responded that I had only brought it in for a cleaning job and that I was quoted $150 for the total cost, the representative I was working with went to the back and told Mike, who I am assuming is the store owner and who I was dealing with, and I overheard him saying to just change the price to $150. Supposedly some kind of keyboard cable was added to my bill. I thought this behavior was extremely sketchy. However, that is STILL now my primary issue with this business. At the end of the day, when I received my computer, it was not salvageable. The screen was completely messed up and the computer was not usable. After my suspicions had already been peaked about this business, I decided to investigate a little further, as I was told I did everything right by turning off the computer immediately and I spoke with an electrician that confirmed that the computer could have been saved if completely powered down prior to major damage being done. The computer had a sticky feel to it, and was not even closed all the way properly when I received it, so I invested the $7 on Amazon to purchase the special tool required to open the computer up. I have attached a picture of the coffee stains on the inside of the computer, and a very strong coffee smell immediately hit me upon opening the computer. I am not sure how you can completely clean a computer and still have obvious coffee stains and a strong coffee smell coming from the computer. It is my true belief that this computer was never touched, and now not only did I waste the $150, I have a broken $1,000+ computer. I am a small business owner as well in the local community. This is the last type of expense I needed at this time. I never write bad reviews, but in this case, I wanted to do what I could to make sure someone else does not experience what I did. Please think twice and seriously consider your options when entrusting your equipment with this business. I will be filing an official BBB complaint against this business as well. This has been one of the most unprofessional business encounters I have had since going into business many years ago. Very unfortunate.

I am disappointed with the service TSI Computer Repair Services rendered to me. I am surprised by the disconnect between 5 star reviews this business received and the service rendered to me. I was initially impressed by their tracking system. My Asus laptop display had problem so I visited couple of repair shops in the area and decided to go with TSI Computer Repair Services based on 5 star reviews. Mike quoted $275 for the repair (to replace laptop lid and hinges). I went ahead with the repair. 2 days later Mike called me and said LCD is not working, has to be replaced. I was surprised by his due diligence. For the price he was charging for the repair I could have even bought a new laptop. I didn’t agree to LCD replacement at my cost because it was working when I gave the laptop for repair. But when I went to pickup the laptop Mike wanted to charge me for the LCD replacement which I didn't pay. When I went home and checked the laptop I noticed wi-fi was not working. I called Mike immediately and Mike’s reply was it was not working before the repair. I turned in the laptop to repair the wi-fi issue. But Mike kept the laptop for 10 days and returned me with wi-fi issue still not fixed. I ended up with a non-functional laptop after a hefty repair cost. My learning is if one has a major laptop repair better find a honest repair shop for one's laptop repair or just buy a new laptop for the repair cost.

Mike managed to fix up my laptop fairly well for how bad it was messed up. I had the hinge and the top half (screen, bezel, she'll, etc.) replaced due to poor design from the manufacturer. The pricing was fair and the turnaround time was alright for the holiday season. A little lacking in communication, but you can't have everything and it all worked out so I'm happy with the result.

I hate to be "that guy" but my interaction with this place really rubbed me the wrong way, and honestly seemed kind of shady.

I brought my PC in because I had dropped it off of a dolley while I was moving, and it was no longer booting. Gave TSI a call because they were nearby, and was immediately just told to bring it in and have it diagnosed. Sure, that works, and I did bring it in, but I would have also appreciated a few educated guesses on what the problem might be.

I brought it in, my info was collected and set up for SMS updates. Technician was chatting with someone pretty casually at the time and told me to just leave my PC there, which already kind of made me uneasy, as I have a lot of personal information on that PC.

A week passed, and I heard nothing back.

I posted about my problem on Facebook and a number of my techie friends mentioned they could have determined the problem in about 15 minutes.

I was starting to get suspicious, but gave TSI the benefit of the doubt because they have a ton of positive reviews on here. Gave them a call this past weekend and asked for an update, and was told I'd see one by the following Monday.

That update never happened, and I also want to note I was never asked for my name or ticket/case number when I called. Felt like I was only given a timeframe to get me off the phone. Did the technician even know which PC I was calling about? Who knows.

Finally decided to just take my PC back and pay for whatever diagnostic service I owed. Was told the technician was waiting on a tool to test the CPU, because the current one was fried by another PC. I'm not tech savvy enough to know how feasible that is of happening, but regardless, it would have been nice to have been given that info in one of the updates I requested earlier in the week.

Even if there was a ton of backlog before my PC was even looked at, that would have been understandable, if it was given that info in an SMS update, or a phone call, or an email. TSI had all three methods of available from my contact info.

Pros: Diagnostic price was reasonable. Cons: Pretty much zero communication from my first call to getting my PC back, and I don't even think they bothered to work on it. Took about a week and a half before giving up and coming...

Computer was turning on but not booting up. After doing much research took it to TSI to see what's wrong with it because I did not have the time to tinker with it. First I was excited because they have a portal where they can communicate with the customer regarding the progress of the repair. I was told they will run the diagnostic and I will have an answer in two days. I waited for 4 days. Heard nothing. Then when I decided to call I was told it most possibly a motherboard issue. But they mentioned they need to do more testing so I waited more. After two more days I decided to visit the shop. Then I was told the motherboard has to be replaced and If I would like they can give me a quote for a motherboard replacement. I asked when I can have the machine back. They said after they send me the quote next week they will be able to fix it in 3-4 days assuming my approval for the quote happens on the same day they send it. ... 7 days later I was still waiting for the quote. When i finally decided to call out of frustration I was told that they sent me the email already and I probably never got it. But I never got an email. Then I decided to go pick up my machine on the same day because I was not seeing any progress. When I was there I asked the person at the shop to check if any emails were sent out to me with a quotation for a motherboard. He said he doesn't see any in their system. He said even though I didn't get any services done from them he will talk to Mike and send me a report of all the diagnostics that have been done on my system. I was happy about that and paid the $40 diagnostic fee and left..... I waited 2 weeks before writing this review hoping I'll hear back from them. Finally decided to write this because I never even got that.

Overall I'm very disappointed in the service. I understand they have a lot of work. But I appreciate honesty over false deadlines. Tell me it takes 3 - 4 weeks if it does. Not 5 days.

After reading all / most of the reviews one thing I understand is that when it comes to hardware replacement they aren't the best place to go to ( Personal Opinion ) . As a computer engineer I expected to take most of my machines here for repair. After this experience I definitely will avoid this place...
