CPR Cell Phone Repair Cedar Rapids — Attraction in Cedar Rapids

My wife and I both our identical type cell phones repaired here and they were both very professional and timely. Both our cell phones needed new glass replacements and hers also needed the back glass replaced. My phone came out great with zero issues, I was totally satisfied! However, my wife's had an issue with the speaker after they had fixed hers and the took a look and decided to order a new speaker and had actually tried on 2 separate occasions to replace it with a new speaker. Her phone speaker was and had been working 100% just fine before we had both our phones glass fixed. After we picked them up we noticed that the Internet wasn't working or connecting so we went straight back to the store and it was a simple fix and it worked just fine. Later that night we discovered or heard that her speaker was crackling/distorted when turned up. We called CPR the next day and I explained the problem and they told me they would order a new speaker and call me when it was in. Within a few days they called and I took it back into them. Unfortunately, they called and said they could not get it to stop the doing the crackling/distortion and so I went and just picked up the phone and my wife wasn't happy but no huge deal. She would just turn it down one notch below it started to distort and just left it like that for a few weeks. I then stopped back in there and actual second person if they could open it up and take a look sometimes a second pair of eyes are better than one pair...so I asked if they could please try it one more time to see if it was the speaker or anything else in their that could cause this to happen. They don't have to but they agreed to take a look but unfortunately we were told again by the 2nd person and 2 different speakers later that they could not do anything to fix it. My wife just decided to just deal with it but last night the speaker quit working all together. Bringing us to today, we took her phone back into them this morning shortly after they opened which they once again opened it up and took a look and there was nothing visible that they could do.....so even though they didn't have too, they called me and offered to gave us back the total money that we paid out to them for not only her repairs but mine as well so that we could order/replace her phone which blew me away! Such an amazing gesture that I do not find nor see very often these days especially with smaller ran/locally owned smaller shops. My wife and I are very grateful to CPR and I will definitely recommend them to anyone that I can because they are the opposite of most places. They are honest, and stand up for their work and even though they didn't have to they went above and beyond for my wife and I. They back the work which is so hard to come by these days. I brought two laptops in to be repaired, one older and one newer. The guy gave me a ticket for only the Dell and not the Toshiba. I looked at the receipt when I got in my car, it was only for the Dell. I went back asking for a receipt for the Toshiba as well. This was on Sunday. On Thursday, I stopped in to see how the repairs were coming. I was told that the Toshiba was being put back together and could pick it up in an hour. I stated I would be back tomorrow morning. On Friday morning I was told that both computers needed new chargers. I knew this wasn't true, because I had just bought a charger for the Dell and it still didn't work. I had Best Buy look at the computers and stated that the area that the charger plugs into needs to be repaired and they do not do this, but that I could try CPR repair. CPR repair failed to diagnose what the problem was and didn't fix it. I looked for another place to repair my computers. I took them to Quality Computer Repair. They looked over my computers, stated what was wrong with both of them and what will need to be done and how much it will cost. They stated the same thing that Best Buy did. I would not waste my time with CPR again. Go some place that will actually know what to look for and how to repair what they say they know...

I would not even give this place a one star....more like zero! They are not very helpful, they are not honest people and are very rude. And if you are going here I would make sure to document what you bring and what you want done because they will steal you property. They will also cheat out of your property as well. I'm not a tech person so I thought that when I went to have my computer repaired that it was no good any more come to find out tho it was. I had my father go in and pick up my flash drive with my info from my computer back up on to and they asked when I dropped it off if it could be recycled afterwards and I said yes to do that. But when my father went in they asked if they could keep and not give me anything for it. Really! I eve said that their website buys old computers and stuff but they said they don't. And if you wanted to get a hold of the guy who runs the store don't waste your time there either! I called and get ahold of his assistant, was told that he would call me back....if your wondering, I'm still waiting for that call! Which will never come! As far as I'm concerned this place sucks balls! They lie, cheat and are not customer friendly! Booo on...
