I’ve been here at least a dozen times with my girlfriend now! We haven’t had one bad experience; I love Boiling Pot enormously! I also live within comfortable walking distance of a competing hotpot place in downtown Marion, and I choose Boiling Pot over them EVERY-DAMN-TIME! I get the all you can eat hotpot (obviously) and don’t frequently order the main menu items, besides some appetizers. There’s an awesome sauce station with a guide-sheet to help if you’re lost. I normally do a spicy peanut goma style sauce, and also take some of the diced garlic and green onion back to toss in my broth. I also highly recommend subbing your noodles with enoki mushrooms. I do this every time instead of noodles and freaking love them.

A great hot pot restaurant in a fine location. If you've never been to a hot pot restaurant before, don't worry, the staff will help explain how the buffet menu and ordering system works. There are 6 different broths from which to choose, and an extensive menu of appetizers, meats, seafood, vegetables, and desserts. There are also several varieties of Boba to go along with your meal. I guess the only thing keeping this review from being a five is - although I mentioned the extensive menu - the conspicuous absence of hot pot staples like lotus root, taro, and potatoes; along with the slightly small size of the individual "pot" that means I can't cook everything I want all at once. Admittedly petty, but still.

My boyfriend and I went here on a date Sunday. This was our first experience with this kind of restaurant and we loved it. The server was amazing and explained everything to us. The "all you can eat" is worth it! It was such a different and nice experience for us both. The staff was so friendly and our food came out very fast. My boyfriend and I did a lot of reading up before trying this, because we knew it was going to be a different experience and we wanted to have some knowledge on the process (sauces, ordering, cooking). We will be going back soon.

My husband and I decided to come here after so many of my coworkers were talking about this place. We paid for the all you can eat $30/per person and we were not disappointed like we have been at other places. I will say that if you have allergies, this place is very accommodating. The staff is very attentive and friendly overall, but they also were very kind when we had allergen questions. Some of my coworkers are also vegan and vegetarian and they had no issues with finding accommodating food here. I personally don't know about Gluten free but I did notice that they had gluten free noodles and labels on menu items. Instead of having one big pot that we shared, this place creates a more personalized experience for their customers. The whole experience was very customizable. We got our own smaller pots and everything comes out in small plates and bowls, so I was able to order food items that my husband doesn't like and vice versa (or for people with food restrictions, there is a reduced chance of cross contamination). We also ordered appetizers and dessert, which we never do but it was included in the $30 fee. They were also plated with individual portion sizes. My husband also ordered hot sake which he said was good. Staff was very friendly and attentive, just wonderful people. We didn't try to sauce station but saw others going up to it. It was clean and well organized, as was the rest of the restaurant/experience. We ordered about three rounds of food my husband had the mushroom base, I had the herbal and we shared the tomato. All of the food was high quality, well worth the $30. Way better experience than going to Mix in Marion and money well spent. Parking was also good, I think that with the location they offer a...

We were excited to try Boiling Pot after checking out the menu online and seeing they offered a $15 individual meal option. But when we got there, we were only given the $30 all-you-can-eat menu—no mention of the cheaper option. We figured we could just order one pot and it would be $15 like we saw online. Nope. Apparently, they just don’t give out the lower-priced menu unless you specifically ask for it, which feels intentionally misleading.

After taking our drink orders, the staff disappeared for about 30 minutes. No one checked in or explained how the ordering process worked. We were literally about to walk out when someone finally told us we had to place our order on our phones. Once food started arriving, it was one dish at a time, handed out randomly while the server asked, “Who has this?” It felt very chaotic and unorganized.

Because we thought we were getting the $15 meal, we didn’t want to order too much and risk being charged more. On top of that, some items listed on the physical menu weren’t even available on the phone ordering system. We didn’t receive everything we ordered, either.

To top it off, they added an automatic 18% gratuity—and then still asked for an additional tip.

Honestly, if you’re craving ramen, just buy a 30¢ packet from the store and add your own toppings. That’s basically what they serve here anyway, and you’ll...

We had a wonderful late lunch experience at Boiling Pot! It was our first hot pot experience and SO. MUCH. FUN. We are "of a certain age" (not old enough to retire, but old enough to be crotchety!) and the staff were very patient with our ignorance and poor listening skills - and they were extremely attentive. Our entire experience took about an hour and a half - this is not a place to stop by if you are in a time crunch: This is an EXPERIENCE - NOT FAST FOOD! If you get your panties in a knot when your ingredients don't magically appear the minute you request them, this is not for you. If you are up for a fun time and looking for a great entertaining meal EXPERIENCE, this is your spot.

There is a lovely variety of food options, and everything was plentiful and delicious. I was wary of the "cook your own" part of the experience, as the reason we eat out a lot is that I am a terrible cook! No worries, though - they have clear instructions for every ingredient (if you don't listen or read, that's on you)

Boiling Pot would make a fantastic first date experience, as well as a great celebration outing (they can accommodate large parties as well as smaller groups). I am looking forward to their upcoming additions to the menu, as well!

Go - eat - enjoy - keep them in business! We need places like this in...
