Super Skate — Attraction in Cedar Rapids

Don't do one of their "party" packages there. The older lady running the kitchen is incredibly rude. We ordered their party package which you have to do online with i assume is someone who doesn't work for the local super skate. We specifically requested 3 pizzas peperoni, sausage, and cheese when we got there we were told that they only had supreme, sausage and meat lovers. I was annoyed but it was a little after one so we told them to start 2 meat lovers and a sausage kids can pick off what they don't want this was a little after 1pm. We were told that they needed to pre-heat the oven which I would assume should be done before opening. We were later told they went and got pepperoni and cheese. We didn't get any pizza until after 230pm might have been closer to 3pm. When I asked when the food would be ready around 230 I was told by one lady idk I asked again she asked the older lady she said it was just starting to brown, again I asked how long they finally told me less than 10min (that was all I wanted). I figured with the long wait and confusion I would ask for a discount on the pizzas. I was told by the older lady that the over had to be fixed, and essentially it was my fault they had to go get the pizza I had asked for when I scheduled this almost 3 weeks ago, as if when you know there is a party you should probably have what they order. Don't recommend the party package show up skate leave and get food avoid the over priced (worse than Jacks) frozen pizza. Gave 2 stars because the kids...

Terrible just terrible. Took some novice skaters to super skate for a Friday night treat. They have been looking forward to this all week it is all they have talked about. Then paid 50 just to rent the old unsanitary skates 2 adults 3 kids get inside to see it just crawling with kids I am almost certain they were over capacity by the amount of bodies that were there. Spend 20 minutes on the floor getting knocked over because there is no room on the floor the last straw was seeing our 3 little girls crying 2 out of frustration that they just can't move on the floor with out being bumped into and the other because she was knocked on her back and kicked in the face with a skate. On top of all of this happening the referee came over blowing his whistle telling us to get off the floor we are blocking traffic. Enough was enough and I explained to the girls we will have to come back another day when it is not so busy. While turning in my skates I didn't think it was unreasonable to ask for maybe a skate rental discount so that we could come back on a Wednesday as we had been before and it was not so busy. The owner Pam was extremely short with me and rude kept telling me she would not give me money back and could not keep track of how many people came in. I explained that I was not asking for money back just a discounted skate rental next time or an iou. She again very angry snapped at me saying I am not giving you your money back! I have never felt so disrespected or dismissed before...

Omg I have to vent. So my daughters best friends son had Birthday gathering at Super Skate what a mistake. One Mother to another Please, Please, dont take your children, teens and drop them off without adult super vision. Two small teens maybe they were 12. 13 were ganged by possibly 15 to 20 other teens. Super Skate has never been really big on enforcing the rules. They are blaming Covid on no staff but for 20 plus years they have always been short staffed. What I saw was very disturbing None No owner or staff that was there tryed to do anything to help these two kids that were being beaten, punched, kicked, lying on the floor begging for help. There was one Dad that offered to help and he was told by the owner and staff let them kill each other. Several people were yelling to call the police. The police were finally called after these kids were beaten for several minutes with no one jumping in. The comment that was made by the owner was they couldnt jump in and help because the law wouldn't let them. Ok I'm sure they were worried about reprocustion. If that is the case it should be there responsibility as a buisness owner to make sure everyone that pays to go there for intertainment is kept safe. Hire more staff. Have security hire an off duty officer to be there for safety. Moms we are our children's biggest protector please dont let your children go there...
