On this visit to Firehouse Subs, I got the Italian Sub on Wheat combo with Mac and Cheese for my side dish. I also got a New York Steamer for my dad. The New York Steamer earned my dad’s approval. About the only issue he had with it was the saltiness but that was a minor deal. The pickle spears (complimentary with the sandwiches) were crisp and fresh. Just the right amount of tang and crunch. Normally, I don’t have white cheddar for Mac and cheese but this was pretty tasty. The sauce isn’t too runny or too thick. For anyone who might want to add flavor to it, the restaurant provides several different types of hot sauce packets. As for my Italian Sub, I found it to be well made. Granted, it got a little soggy on the bottom but that was probably from the dressing added. All the ingredients worked well together and everything was fresh. I personally don’t think this sandwich would need any other sauce on it; doing so would likely alter the flavors and make it messier. The subs are kind of pricey but the quality is without question and there’s plenty of options to choose from. One more thing: this location has an electronic drink dispenser. That allows customers dozens of options for beverages ranging from Orange Fanta to Cherry Limeade (the restaurant’s specialty) to even cream soda. If you’re craving a sub sandwich, you can’t go wrong with Firehouse Subs.

I have been here in the past but this last visit was my wife's first time. She was not impressed and with good reason. The staff seemed more interested in flirting with one another than doing their job and as a result my wife's sandwich was messed up and not what was ordered. My daughter had to ask for part of our order since no one was paying attention. All in all it is great sandwiches but when you hire kids you need to keep an adult on site to keep them on track. On the upside I did get my boots mopped...or is that a bad thing?

Good food and friendly service! Their hot subs are good and the Cajun chicken was only a little spicy. They have chili which is nice. Good sub shop in a good location. It looked clean and had a great experience. They had a lot of take away orders so it was a little slow and they almost forgot my chili but it was good.

Some of the staff is kind and friendly, but some of them sigh when you come to the counter and make you feel like you’re a nuisance that they have to do their job. Last time I was here I watched the kid roll his eyes when I approached the counter, take his sweet time to walk over, and he didn’t even say anything or greet me, he just stared for a bit and grumbled. And I get it man, I worked food service for years and customers would be rude, you’re not getting paid a lot, life is hard, and it’s probably not where you wanna be working, but at least try to fake it or do yourself a huge favor and get a different job. Someone that disgruntled shouldn’t be working in food service. Also I’m not sure why but this place puts out a sandwich like every 5-10 minutes which seems like an awfully long time when you have 3-4 people behind the counter. Maybe I’m missing something about the process here but it shouldn’t be a half hour wait with a few people in line. It seems like one person is ever working and then the rest just stand around and talk. Luckily the one person who makes the food seems to have a decent work ethic and it comes out great. Management needs to step in though or some of these workers will blow out...

Changed review from 5 stars to 1 Tonight we wanted to eat at Firehouse Subs because the food is GREAT. We looked online to make sure they were open. "Open until 9pm for dine in and carry out." We arrived at 8:15 and as we were walking toward the store, an employee ran (yes, ran) to the door and locked it. We were both confused since we made sure to look them up first. The sign on the door even says "Open daily until 9pm". I called the store and they said they decided to change their hours. CHANGE YOUR DAMN SIGNS AND ONLINE ADVERTISING! There are other restaurants with great food. Not...
